An island shrouded in mystery
Assalamu Alaikum
How are you? By Allah's grace, I'm doing very well. I hope everyone is well. I am also well by the grace of God. The name of the triangle that we will discuss today is the Bermuda Triangle. The Bermuda Triangle is also called the Devil's Triangle, it is a place in the western Atlantic Ocean through which no human, ship or plane can pass. Some believe it is the work of aliens, some believe it is the work of sea monsters, and some believe it is a ghostly work. Today we will explore whether the Bermuda Triangle is really mysterious or fake.
Christopher Columbus was the first to share his strange experiences with the Bermuda Triangle. In 1492, he wrote that his ship's sailors were seeing lights dancing on the horizon in this area and that his compass was pointing in the opposite direction. But the triangle became most talked about in 1945 after five torpedo bombers disappeared together. The plane that was sent to rescue these planes also exploded in the area. People can't explain these events and unfortunately more accidents continue to happen in this area. Since then, all kinds of strange theories have come to the fore, such as telekinesis, alien spaceships, etc.
Now let's see if these are true or just rumors, Scientist Karl Kruzelnik on the Bermuda Triangle says with complete evidence, "The only mystery surrounding the Bermuda Triangle is that there was no mystery to begin with." The dancing lights that Christopher Columbus' sailors saw were the cooking fires used by the local people on their boats. And the compass problem was caused by the changing position of the stars. The five planes that disappeared in 1945 were completely due to human error, and the plane that went to search exploded due to technical difficulties. The Infographics Show describes this incident very beautifully. Modern scientists have explained other incidents in a similar way. And adverse weather in the ocean is a very normal thing, the Bermuda Triangle is not a big deal. And ships travel through the Bermuda Triangle regularly without any problems. According to The World Wide Ship, the Bermuda Triangle is not even mentioned in the top ten most dangerous islands in the world. The true explanation for the Bermuda Triangle is not in the ocean, but in our minds. Our minds are always drawn to strange or memorable events. We remember strange things more, so a ship sinking in a hurricane is more memorable and interesting than a ship disappearing without any explanation. And once something becomes standard in our eyes, we start paying more attention to that thing, which is simply called the frequency illusion. Since we are noticing the thing more, it seems to us that the event is happening again and again, but in reality we are just noticing it more. Today's discussion concludes here. I hope you've found it interesting. Please share your thoughts on today's topic. Prayers for everyone. May everyone be well. Amen.
