The Future is in Your Hands

I was reading a book one time and in the book, there was a story that continues to linger in my head, let me start today's post with that story.

There was a man in a certain village who was known popularly for his wisdom and his ability to give the right advice to people. His wisdom attracted great men who came from different places to get their opinions on different topics about life. His advice was always right and this made his his fame continue to spread like wildfire with more dignitaries trooping into his home to get his suggestions over matters that require wise words.

At the same time, a group of boys always came to get advice from the old man and they always hoped one day, he would say something wrong and that never happened. So, the boys decided to give him a test they were sure he could not pass.

One of the boys had a bird in his hand, and they planned to walk up to the old man and ask him if the bird was alive or dead, if he said the bird was alive, they would strangle the bird and kill him, and if he said the bird was dead, he will release the bird and have it fly away. Either way, the old man will be wrong and they would have proven their point.

When they got to the wise man and asked him the question, he smiled and looked at their mischievous eyes and said, it is in your hands. This story came with a strong message not just for the young mischievous boys but also for everyone, whatever we decide to do with ourselves and with our lives lies indeed in our own hands and not the hands of anyone else.

This means we are to prepare for our future in ways that signify we are truly ready to make moves about it. There are strong reasons why planning for our future is essential.
When you are prepared for the future, you will be able to make the necessary steps to manage future encounters.

Knowing that, you have plans and goals to meet shortly will always keep you motivated to push for your dreams. With plans for the future, you also have financial stability, as you learn to make necessary plans that would help you save your finances and your future. In the same light, you will be able to set plans that will help you focus on building your future.

Now that we understand the need to plan for our future, it is also important that. Know how to go about it. You should choose a career path, and associate yourself with professionals that will make the journey faster and easier. It is not okay to remain at a certain level for a long time, so when you choose a career path, you need to be intentional about growing on that path to avoid being left out of the success accompanied by the career path.
