The Hidden Dangers of Too Much Protein

We live in a society whereby we are conscious of a lot of things but less conscious of our health which for me should not be so. We are conscious of our time, of our family, of our money and even of the clothes we wear and the events we attend to but most of the time, we are less conscious of our health. There are actually something's we should pay attention to which we hardly pay attention to and at the end of the day begins to affect us greatly. Growing up, I am always told about the side effects of everything.

What do I mean by that? I am always told that anything that have advantages will definitely have disadvantages. Anything we consume in essence tends to have side effects and that is true when when it comes to health related issues. When it comes to balanced diet, we have carbohydrate, protein, fats and oil, vitamins and many more. So many of the time, we have preached of the good things that is in protein but most of the time, there is hidden danger when we consume too much protein and that is what I want to talk about today.

According to medical research with proven result, when you consume too much of protein, it affects your kidney function. One of the functions of kidney just as many of us know is that it helped us to excrete out what we need to remove from our body system which is waste products. But when we begin to consume too much of protein, it helps to increase the load that the kidney does because with high level of protein, the kidney will need to work much more harder to remove those excess nitrogen that is gotten from protein.

The funniest thing is the side effects might not even manifest instantly until many years later when the kidney begins to get weak. The second side effects that might want to manifest when you start consuming too much of protein is that it might leads to nutrient deficiencies. If you focus on diet on protein, you might not really be taking diet that is rich in vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates. But guess what it supposed to be spread across that's why it is called balanced diet. When you have nutirent deficiencies, it can leads to issues like colon cancer and other diseases in our body system.

It has been proven medical also that processed meats can leads to some diseases in our body. If you continually consume high level of protein, it can leads to diseases like heart disease and some form of cancer. The most unfortunate thing about these side effects and diseases just like I have said earlier, you might not necessarily see the side effects instantly but as time goes on, you will begin to see the result and at that time it might have been too late.

Now let me create the balance before I conclude, protein is good did not get me wrong, but it should not be done in essence. There are other body nutrients that are very important which we should pay attention to but we are not paying attention to. At the end of the day, because we can not regulate our love for some protein diet, it put our health in great danger.
