My Book Review: How to Walk in the Supernatural Power of God by Guillermo Maldonado

If there is something that I can witness which have really changed my life, I will say it is the act of reading books. Reading books have been a tremendous source of growth for me over the few years and it keeps getting better. In my Christian faith, I have definitely read a lot of books that has helped me to grow spiritually and one of them is what I want to share with us today. For me, the book did not only speak to me, it also transform me.

I personally growing up, I grew up in a surrounding that is known for been religious and at the same time, there is this deep hunger within me to actually get something's right. I always feel like there is so much I am still missing out which I have not discovered. Picking this book, how to walk in the supernatural power of God opened my eyes to a whole lot of things that I was not seeing for years. For me, it opens my eyes on how I can live a life as a Christian and been able to be set free from chains and deep wounds I have carried for years.

My country Nigeria is one that is cluttered with so much noise. What I mean by so much noise is that I am surrounded with so much churches in Nigerian but true power is rare to feel. Don't get me wrong, we often sing and even dance in church but as a Christian, many of us are still held bound by so many issues and infirmities. One of the things this book reopened my eyes to us that if I did not do the things necessary to be done, I can live a powerless Christian.

One of the things I love about the book is the fact that he always share his personal experiences which makes the book so practical. He talks about the power of walking with the holy spirit in intimacy and living daily in obedience with God. For me, this is an eye opener to what will command the supernatural. In fact, he opened my eyes to see the need why one needs to live in bold faith and not just to be religious which has been one of the mistake I have been living on for many years.

When I was reading the book, the aspect where he talked about taking bold faith really touched me greatly because it looks like he was talking to me directly. There are times in my life I felt God is just so silent because I will keep praying but I will not see result. Inf act, there are times whereby I will not feel the hunger to pray anymore because I felt my last prayers were not answered by God. But reading his book, he gave me strength that sometimes I will need to work with God in faith even though I am not seeing the result immediately.

For me, reading the book opened my eyes to see that I should wake up no matter what. For me, those experiences I read in the book challenge me that my life can still be much more better no matter what and the fact that I should start taking step to make my journey with God much more better than before. The book also opened my eyes to see how I have made God so small in my life. The truth is, one have always lived in religion for many years unknown to oneself that one needs to have a strong personal relationship with God. Reading the book kind of ignite the hunger back for me which was an eye opener.

The book send a strong message to everyone most especially in Nigeria and to the church and that is the fact that we should start living in real hunger for God. I believe so many people are faking up their relationship with God. Some of them didn't really have a strong relationship with God and this is really affecting them. We have a lot of people that goes to church every Sunday but deep down, they did not have any personal relationships with God. With this book, it opens my eyes to see the need to live in love and authority. It is high time we as believes begin to live in supernatural power and authority and not just living a powerless Christianity.

I don't know about others but personally for me, this book was a blessing and will continually be. The book challenge me and since reading that book, it has helped how I begin to pray to God more differently and with so much intentionality. In fact, the book have really helped me to overcome some major limitations in my life and will still help to continue to. If you want to live a supernatural life and been free from what ever that have held you bound for many years, I will definitely recommend you reading this book. You will thank me later.
