Can Cold Showers Really Improve Your Health?
There are some of the things that we never even imagine that they carry so much power to produce result but they actually do. For me personally, I have discovered that people have started prioritising cold shower because of the claim that it helps to increase our health state. I have seen footballers relaxing in a ice pool especially people like Cristiano Ronaldo.
This leads me to be so curious. What is really that special in the temperature of cold water that will help to improve our health and immune. Our body always react to things quickly. When doing my discovery, I have come to discover that whenever you step into a cold shower or ice pool, there is this way your body will react to it instantly. Due to the temperature, it will leads to vasoconstriction that helps to increase blood circulation in our body system.
There are some health benefits that we will benefit from when we constantly engage in cold shower. The first one which I have talked about is in the aspect of helping to improve our circulation and blood flow. But that is not enough, it also helped to boost our immunity. From the research I carried out, I discovered that due to the cold shower, it will increase the white blood cells count in our body system and as we all know, the white blood cells plays a major role for our immune system.
The reason why a lot of footballers always engage in ice baths or ice pools either before or after a match is because it helps to enhance recovery and strengthen muscles in our body system. So many of us most especially athletes, due to the nature of the sports they engage into, it always leads to muscle soreness which if not carefully handled can lead to injury. But with a cold shower, it helps them to reduce muscle soreness in their body system.
That is not all also, many of us might not know that cold shower also helped to improve the health of our skin and generally body system. I discovered that hot water always affect the natural oil that our skin has but with cold water, it helps to freshen it. Of course even with those benefits I have mentioned, it still have it's own side effects that needs to be paid attention to. For me personally, I am the type that loves hot water, in fact there are sometimes I will not be able to take my bath if the water is not hot, but with the research I carried out, I guess I discovered that I need to start training myself to start engaging in cold showers.
One of the things about this cold shower is that, the health benefits might not manifest instantly but as time goes on, you will start seeing the result in just a short while. I believe if you can have these few health benefits I have mentioned above, it will help to put our health in a good state. Health is always wealth.
