Are You Addicted to Sugar Without Knowing It?
As the world keeps advancing and keeps developing, it is evident that we are living in a world whereby sugar have been involved in our daily lives. I am not talking about foods alone but even the snacks we always take also seems to be made with so much sugar and the funniest thing is we called those snacks as healthy. Quite a pity. Why I said quite a pity is because many of us are even eating sugar and we don't even know probably we are not aware of it.
So many of us have been ignorantly addicted to sugar. When I talked about sugar, I believe everyone of us knows that it goes beyond the white powder sugar we are aware of. I mean been in love greatly with things that are sugary in taste. Many of us are always in love with those snacks but the most painful thing is that those sugary snacks and contents might not manifest instantly but at the long run, they will start to show in the future. Trust me, the long term effect of sugar addiction is not something we should witness.
Briefly, let me talk about some hidden source of sugar that we are not aware of. Snacks like chocolate, sweets and generally biscuit that taste so sugary have high sugar contents. Not only that, even carbonated drinks like coca cola, Fanta and even some juice contains high form of sugar. If you are a big fan of alcohol, you might not know, you are actually consuming high level of sugar which can really damage your health in the future.
Someone reading this might be wondering, how can I now know that I am addicted to sugar without not knowing? Well psychologically there are some of the things you can pay attention to which can give you an hint of your addiction to sugar. If you are the type that love to taste something sweet most especially after eating, you might be a victim of the addiction. If you always love those carbonated drinks or flavoured drinks, you might also be suffering from it. If you find it hard to resist sweet foods or you are a big fan of alcohol, you are already suffering from sugar addiction without you not knowing.
I know that the big question in the heart of people have always been, how can I actually stop taking those sweet foods? Probably you have tried several times but you can't. One of the things I have learnt about breaking free from addiction or generally bad habits is that you should start seeing it as something that can damage your life. Start with small practice and if you are consistent in it, it is just a matter of time, you will overcome it. Research made me to understand that new habits are created in 21 days. That means you can actually create a new habit to be free from those sugar addiction in 21 days if you are disciplined.
Start by looking into your foods and snacks you take. Start by letting go of love for carbonated drinks and start starving your craving for anything that is sugary. You might not know but if you are not able to overcome your sugar addiction, it will lead to more issues for you health-wise which are like diabetes, weight gain, heart issues and many more. All of these things are the long term effect I talked about earlier which will later manifest if you did not overcome your sugar addiction.
