🌡️ Problem 1.11 – Chemistry by Chang (14th Edition) | Chapter 1: Measurement and the Properties of Matter

in Popular STEM2 days ago

Hello Steemit friends! 🔥❄️

In this post, I’m sharing another foundational chemistry problem from Raymond Chang’s Chemistry, 14th Edition, part of Chapter 1 where we explore units of measurement, including temperature conversion between Fahrenheit and Celsius — a must-know in any chemistry or science course.

🔹 Problem 1.11:

Convert the following temperatures to degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit:

  • (a) 95°F, the temperature on a hot summer day
  • (b) 12°F, the temperature on a cold winter day
  • (c) A 102°F fever
  • (d) A furnace operating at 1852°F
  • (e) −273.15°C (theoretically the lowest attainable temperature)

These conversions are essential in lab work, scientific reports, and daily life when understanding weather, body temperature, or industrial processes. 🌡️💡

📸 Here’s the full solution with all the conversion steps clearly shown:
