More technology for war.

Imagine being in a conflict zone and in the sky you see nothing but common birds but what you don't know is that some common birds can actually be drones ready to observe, attack or even launch micro munitions with quite precision, well China has just transformed that concept into reality.

At the tenth exhibition of intelligent military technology held in Beijing, China revealed a new generation of unmanned aerial vehicles that not only fly, but flap their wings like real birds, reaching an almost perfect level of biomimetics and, most worrying, are practically indistinguishable to human eyes and invisible to radars.

They can adapt to the environment, imitating real birds.

These drones known as Ornithoteros were presented in various avian forms, from small doves to powerful eagles, they are drones that flap their wings, camouflage themselves in the sky and deceive both human vision and radars, the lightest version weighs only 90 grams and transmits images, the largest models such as the huming bird has a wingspan of 2 meters, launch mortars and operate in coordinated swarms.

These ornithopters are built with light and flexible materials allowing their reuse and easy maintenance in the field. Another differential is the customization of the design according to the local bird species, further increasing their camouflage in urban and rural environments.

Technology imitates life

The objective is clear infiltration, invisible psychological surveillance and sneak attacks without alerting the enemy, but China also presented its defense against these new stealthy winged ones, an example is the K25 remote station equipped with takedown devices and intelligent algorithms capable of neutralizing small drones at 200 meters with 90% accuracy.

The system is based on a decentralized defense network that can be operated remotely, reducing risks for operators and increasing efficiency against swarms of enemy drones. The presentation of these drones marks a new phase in modern air warfare where distinguishing the nature of the machine will become increasingly difficult.

The world seems to be walking towards a course where nature itself will be falsified as a weapon, if birds can be drones and forests can host swarms of machines of this type, in the future the question will not be what a drone is, but is it still real and even more so when technology imitates life with such perfection, not only security is at stake, but our own perception of reality, because the invisible war is not just metal and algorithms it is psychological.
