There is another nice piece of news, although you see it like this in the image, a little dramatic, everything is correct, everything is fine, this man, this gentleman is Don Petit who has returned to Earth on his 70th birthday, which can make us wonder up to what age you can travel to space and I am not talking about traveling to space in a Blue Origin capsule, but rather about traveling to space for weeks, months, because this man has remained on the international space station for 220 days.

Evidently upon his return he needed help and medical attention because 220 days in microgravity, Don Petit is one of the most veteran astronauts and also one of the most skilled when it comes to developing experiments and tasks that an astronaut must perform. He has also stood out for being one of the best space photographers. I showed some of his captures and images in some publications.

At 70 years old, in reality, to travel to space you don't need to have the health of an athlete, it's not bad to have the health of an athlete and muscles and abdominals are fine, but it's not necessary, you certainly have to do prior training but it is more related to the strange environment that you are going to encounter, to adapting to that environment, especially of weightlessness, which can cause initial discomfort, vomiting for example or the daily issues of how to eat, sleep or go to the bathroom, which in space are completely different and some are very complex, but once that you pass that training and unless you have a really important illness there are no problems traveling to space.

This brings us to an issue that we have discussed several times, a curious issue and that is trips to Mars. If the plasma engines powered by fusion reactors that we have mentioned in other publications end up being developed, the trip to Mars could be made in 30 days or a little more. At 70 years old, Don Petit spent 220 days in space, that's 7 months and 10 days.

In the end, astronauts also use their bodies, they are analyzed in detail and all the biological processes they have are analyzed to the millimeter; Jeff Bezos, by the way, never expressed his interest in traveling to Mars, but Bezos still doesn't have a ship, he has that famous capsule where millionaires go to make that jump because it doesn't even enter orbit, it reaches the edge of space and that's it, it's a simple entertainment for tourists who pay a fortune for a really quite ridiculous experience because you can get the effect of weightlessness, for example with much less money on parabolic flights, you can hire one of those parabolic flights, they are around $6,000 and you experimented for quite a few minutes because there are several falls and descents in that weightlessness situation, for example they took Stephen Hawking on a parabolic flight and they are what astronauts use to train.
