The problem of having a Black Hole in the center of the galaxy.

We are in the galactic plane, if our galaxy were a disk we would be on the surface of that disk, we would not be very above nor very below, in fact we are rising a little, if an enormous event occurred in the black hole that is in the center of the Milky Way, we would see a jet of energy coming out at the poles of the black hole, after a certain time we would see a jet of energy coming out upwards and another downwards from the galactic nucleus, for the moment we would be safe.

Apparently that happened in the remote past, it would have been an incredible spectacle but right now we are safe because that would depend if the Sagittarius A* black hole rotated in the same plane of our galaxy, but if not, what if it rotates at another angle and its poles are pointing towards us, at the moment we do know that it rotates and that its spin is deforming space-time, but in September of last year it was discovered that its spin was also misaligned with respect to the linear momentum of the Milky Way.

Apparently the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A* merged with another one about 9 billion years ago and that altered its spin and tilt, although right now we don't know if its poles are facing us or not.

There is a theory but it is well studied and calculated, there are more abstract theories and others that are based on mathematical calculations, this one is based on mathematical calculations and it stated more or less that you could make a trip in time to the past or the future thanks to getting into the distorted space of a black hole, but that only worked well if the black hole was rotating, at the moment we know that most black holes rotate, the majority, we cannot confirm all of them, but the majority rotate, ours for example does rotate and only leaves good if it is large in size.

If it is a small black hole of stellar mass it would go very badly, because the space to get in, to put it simply, is very narrow, so you would end up in a mush, but in a super massive black hole the space to get in or the angle of entry to make that trip is quite wide, which could be done without much difficulty, the only problem is that you would have to have a ship shielded against radiation because in the environment of a black hole there is a lot of energy and a lot of radiation, but if you have that armored ship you could make that trip and First you would have to travel the 27,000 light years that separate us from our supermassive black hole.

There are clues to past catastrophic events in our galaxy, so it would help a lot to know what is happening in the nucleus of the galaxy and know how everything is located. The problem we have right now is that the nucleus of the galaxy is surrounded by clouds of gas and dust. We are in the plane and therefore looking towards the center of that nucleus is difficult. It is good for us because this way we receive less cosmic radiation.

But luckily the new observatories are getting better, on April 2 NASA published a research paper on the galactic nucleus. The previous image was taken by the MeerKat from 1000 light years and the one above would be the one taken by James Webb from 44 light years. The MeerKat is a radio telescope and there are two different ways of seeing the galactic nucleus. The website made an approximation of that part of the nucleus where a filament comes out.

The general shot would be from the radio telescope in the spectrum of radio emissions while the James Webb is a specialist in four infrared, the bubbles are supernova explosions but it is not very clear and the filaments are believed to be remains of jets from the black hole or magnetic effects of the black hole it is not very clear either, what the James Web did was an approach to analyze a specific place, it is called the Sagittarius C Stellar Nursery, it is in the heart of the Milky Way and it is very close to the black hole. supermassive, about 200 light years away that is very close.

And they contrasted the images with the MeerKat with the radio telescope. I already say that there are many things here that we still do not know what it is. We are seeing things that are not well explained or that there are theories and that they will still have to investigate for many years. The point is that they were wondering what was happening in that area because we know that in the galactic core there is a lot of dust, there is a lot of gas, there are many stars, there is a lot of everything, lots of supernova explosions, a lot of activity.

In that area, scientists wonder why such large and very few stars are being formed, and what they discovered with this research is that the magnetism related to the black hole is altering the matter of that cloud of gas and dust where the stars should form. In fact, they have discovered that a few are being formed, but they are very large, 20 times the mass of the sun and are 200 light years from the supermassive black hole, which is quite close.

The magnetism around the black hole also causes magnetic reactions and other types of events that transform the material of that cloud into plasma and create filaments and those filaments stay there, they do not transform into stars, the matter does not concentrate into a star, the matter confined in those filaments remains trapped.
