New theory about the slow rotation of Venus

New theory of Venus, it was published on August 5, it is a good theory, it was initially thought to try to explain why the spin, the rotation of Venus is so extremely slow, to get into context, the day on Venus lasts longer than the year, a year on Venus lasts approximately 225 Earth days, but a day on Venus lasts 243 Earth days, the day lasts longer than the year.

It is the only case where this happens, on March 1, 1982, the probe that lasted the longest landed, the venera 13, it transmitted for 127 minutes, it is tremendous to survive on Venus, it is brutal.

They are almost twin planets, Earth and Venus, that planet that physically looks most like Earth, both in composition, size, gravity, etc. What differentiates it? The atmosphere has an infernal atmosphere with temperatures of 464ºC, an atmospheric pressure between 92 to 95 times greater than that of the Earth, which is why the Venera, which was the ship that lasted the longest on Venus, 127 minutes.

That is also why space agencies do not send more ships to Venus, we really have very little explored compared to Mars, you send a robert and you can have it working for years, but on Venus there is no way. There is a project to send a rover to Venus, but it is going to be a real tank, I don't know when they will send it, missions to Venus tend to be very delayed and in fact it is the planet that is closest to us.

This new study by the University of Zuricha, where researchers tried to analyze why Venus has such an extremely strange rotation, which is not only that the day is longer than the year, but that it also rotates in the opposite direction to how, for example, the Earth rotates, the researchers have come to the conclusion that what happened to Venus is that it suffered an impact with a planet approximately the size of Mars, a colossal impact.

What they did was analyze different impacts with different computer models to see which one could produce that type of rotation that was so slow and so strange and that it suited them with that size, also with a fairly "slow" speed of impact, of 10 or 15 km per second and let's also remember that the explanation for the existence of the Earth's Moon is that the Earth also received the impact of a planet the size of Mars, that impact that the Earth received, according to the most accepted theory, expelled a large amount of material to space, to the environment of the Earth and that material was concentrated in what is the Moon.

Venus received an impact similar to what happened to the Earth and yet it does not have a moon, none, neither large nor small, it does not have any moon, they explain it because in their model, with that type of impact, which generates such a strange and slow rotation, it coincides precisely with the fact that no amount of stable material is produced in the orbit of Venus, the impact does generate debris in its surroundings, but they all end up falling.

This study also shows that this impact could have significantly influenced the climatic and geological trajectory of Venus, the impact would have deposited enormous heat inside the planet, altering its mantle, literally melting it and stopping plate tectonics, if Venus had it in the beginning.

This thermal chaos also explains why Venus seems so young geologically, all astronomers say it, Venus is very young geologically, the average is about 300 or 400 million years, which is the surface of Venus that is regenerated by volcanic activity and the strange movements that the geology of Venus has, which is very intense, is that the Earth also has a fairly young surface. It is very difficult to find areas older than 500 million years. It is true that there are some extremely old regions such as the Craton area, for example, in Venezuela or Greenland or the core of Australia. But in general the surface of the Earth is quite young, it is approximately 400 million years old on average.

Venus has a regenerative activity of its geology of its enormous surface, according to these researchers, it is due to that, to that impact it had with a planet the size of Mars, perhaps that was also what melted or vaporized the oceans of Venus that it should have had at the time, because Venus initially should have had the same conditions that the Earth had.
