It all starts with a curiosity; The Ingenuity legacy.

With the success of Ingenuity, the first helicopter on Mars, engineers are working on the next generation of the Mars helicopter called Chopper. They have corrected the “weak” points of Ingenuity, and one of them is its propellers. They have reinforced the propellers to withstand the torques caused by rough landings.

The Chopper now has six rotors instead of two which means that Chopper can carry a lot, including carrying its own scientific equipment, they also developed a very light radio that can communicate directly with orbit guaranteeing its autonomy from the Rovers.

The Chopper can carry around 5 kg of scientific equipment and take it anywhere on the planet, on Mars you can fly up to 3 km in a matter of minutes, which has generated a lot of enthusiasm in the scientific community.

You are imagining a future of aviation all over Mars as a primary exploratory capability which in my opinion is definitely going to happen, it is a matter of time there will be fleets flying all over Mars, one day there will be airports on Mars and we will have aircraft the size of Chopper, more aircraft the size of Ingenuity and larger than the Chopper.

NASA is thinking big thanks to ingenuity, a project they once doubted.
