It all starts with a curiosity; Debate is necessary.

Mr. Abraham Loeb is controversial, it is good to open controversies, deep down he is good, the bad thing is not being able to organize these debates in a more constructive way, this is what I was saying with a colleague, it is not bad to open these debates, the problem is at the level and in how you get the technical language to translate it into a popular language, because keep in mind that normally the debates between scientists are quite deep, and in addition to tremendous questions, the origin of the universe, the origin of life, incredibly topics, deep, from the future with the topic of artificial intelligence, robotics, etc.

The problem is that these debates are a report, a file, a document, a study of 30 or 40 pages that appears in a scientific journal and the response is usually another report that appears perhaps a month or two months later or perhaps the following year, also 30 pages long and thus they throw reports at each other.

The ideal would be for many people to be able to take those positions, defend those two positions, the positions that are raised in a debate, translate those reports into a common language that we can all understand and set up that debate, it is complicated, I know, I suppose that one day we will have to play that role as popularizers or people like Abraham Loeb, who is already more involved in the subject of debates, or we will have to do it as science popularizers.

If there are debates about football or Formula 1, in Formula 1 it is tremendously complex, the cars, the engines, and it is possible to have debates that reach the general public. I believe that with this we could also have debates that reach the general public, but it is one of my dreams.
