It all starts with a curiosity; Cosmos 482

Souce

It is very curious that the Cosmos 482 parachute that it carries to stop its fall on Venus, we do not know what condition it is in, some satellite trackers believe that the parachute is already deployed judging by some photographs where it looks as if something was hanging from the object, if that is the case and the parachute is not too tangled perhaps it could slow down its fall.

On the other hand, if what is seen in the images is not the parachute and it remains stored inside the capsule, it will surely no longer deploy because its batteries will most likely no longer have any charge after 53 years.

Another question I ask myself is if it falls into the water, will it float to be recovered? On the one hand, it is built as an airtight tank. If it keeps the water outside, it would not have to sink unless the instruments inside it make its density greater than that of the water, and if that is the case, even if it has air inside, it will not be enough to float and it will go to sleep with the little fish at the bottom of the sea.
