"Steemit Learning Challenge-S27W1; Physiofit; Pain-free Challenge"
Welcome to the week 1 of season 27 learning challenge
Am glad to learn and understand how the body system works when we sustain injuries and how excise can help reduce chronic pain thanks to the steemit team and our dear teacher @ashkhan for this wonderful privilege.
Task 1: First you have to share your knowledge about pain, it's type and pathology.
Pain can be seen as a discomforting sensation that occurred due to a damaged tissue, or an emotional experience which is associated with an actual or a potential tissue damage.
Pain is classified into two major types:
• Acute pain
• Chronic pain
Acute pain
Acute pain is mostly sudden, this sudden short-term respond is as a result of a damage tissue from an injury and it mostly served as a warning to prevent further harm.
Chronic pain
Chronic pain is a pain that last for months persisting more than the actual recovery duration, a person suffering from chronic pain can be feeling pain all the time or in a switching method meaning it comes and go, this type of pain can cause changes in the brain and in the nervous system causing the brain to continue sending pain signals
Even when there is no harm or injury.
Pathology
This involve the activation of the nervous system pain pathway, this when a person get injured or hit by an object which causes pain the protective mechanism of the body will produce inflammation around the affected area,
and if they affected area is a close wound it will automatically turn red for a day or a couple of days
This happened because the body pain receptor immediately sent signal to the brain and the spinal cord causing the brain to release neurotransmitters which transmit pain signal, now the function of the inflammation in the affected area is to enhance the pain signal treating the inflammation will automatically reduce the pain.
Task 2: You have to find a patient with the symptom and share history of injury or illness. You can also share your history too if your suffer from any injury recently or previously that hasn't treated yet
I have some of my relatives that are suffering from pain some are acute and some are chronic but I'm also suffering from pain so I will talk about mine instead.
Last year while I was pregnant I was fine until my third trimester as a weight of my baby increases I began to feel pain in my lower back I thought it will go away after I might have given birth this is a chronic pain because it has persisted for months now and it comes and go mostly when I am stressed the pain will be so intense but in some other time it becomes mild and discomforting,
Task 3: It would be better if you treat the patient pain by performing or apply above given exercises or tips, share videos or pictures while performing and then review after getting treatment
supine abdominal draw with knee to chest
My exercise was performed by laying flat on my back with my two hand down pressing downward in a stif position I move my knee up above my stomach and held for some seconds then release and do the same with the other knee.
This exercise strength of my waist up to my lower back which is very beneficial to the pain region which is my lower back.
After doing the exercise and stretching my lower back muscles though it was hard because of the pain I persisting and could feel the pain gradually reducing and rounds of stretching, now am very certain that if i make this a routine then the chronic back pain am having will go away with time.
I will love to invite @chant @dequeen @affy to also participate thank you.
Weldon lovinah your doing a job 👍
Thank you for understanding the challenge and sharing your assignment; I hope you will enjoy this week's challenge and try to implement it in your life if you see any such case.
