Hope you all having good health. I am Faisal Malik and this is my achievement 2 "Basic Security on Steem". In this post, we will see that as newcomers, we must have basic knowledge of security on Steem. So lets start,
The knowledge on Basic Security on Steem is very important to keep our account save and secure. So when we are creating our account we get different keys like posting key, active key, private owner key and memo key, etc. These different keys are provided to us to make our account secure from hackers this add a protection layer of security. lets dissuss the keys one by one:

Note: Every key has it's own limitations.

• Posting Key:
  The posting key allows us functions like posting, commenting, editing, voting, resteeming, and following/unfollowing accounts.

Limitation: limited to non-sensitive actions to reduce the risk of hacking

• Active Key:
  The active key allows us functions like transferring funds, power up/down transactions, converting Steem Dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details, and placing market orders.

Limitation: This key is a sensitive key used for important transactions and functions.

• Owner Key:
  The owner key is the most powerful key it is used for change any key of our account.

Limitation: We must store this key in any safe place mostly offline, and use it only when there is a need for account recovery. This way your account will be more safe from hackers.

• Memo Key:
  The memo key is used for the functions like when we transferring funds encrypting and decrypting memos.

Limitation: Not sensitive can be changed when needed.

• Master Password:
  The master password is used for the function to generate all the other keys, including the Owner Key.

Limitation: We must only use the master password when there is need of account recovery.

Questions:
1. Have you retrieved all your keys on Steemit?
The answer is yes, I have retrieved all my keys on steemit. I understand the importance of the keys and know how to protect these keys to save my account from hackers.

2. Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes, I know these all keys functions and their restrictions and limitations I above mention the important details of these keys.

3. How do you plan to keep your master password?
First, I have written my account master password on a paper and save it where my all documents are placed offline. Secondly, I have saved the master password in my backup drive and also locked it with my password to make it more secure.

4. Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes, I know the steps to transfer my steem token to another Steem user account. It is not a difficult task first we have to log in to our account using our active key. Then we have to open the wallet section or page we have to enter the recipient’s username then the amount of STEEM to transfer and then an optional thing a memo it is an optional feature.

5. Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yes, I know how to power up my Steem and also know why we power up our Steem because increases our voting power but it also locks the tokens for a period.
We have to these steps to power up, first we have to log in our account with the active key. Then go to the wallet page or section and there we have to click the power up button which will visible on Steem value then have to enter the amount of STEEM we want to convert to Steem Power (SP).
