ACHIEVEMENT 1 || Introduction to Steemit

Good day, everyone. I am very happy to finally be a part of this great community. I've been hearing about this platform for a long time but finally made the decision to become a part, and I hope that I have made a great choice as well. The few things I have heard about steemit has given me enough motivation to join, learning a lot from people, their creativity and lots more, I am very open to learn.

My name is Samuel Ene, my username here on steemit is @samuelbrilliant, and I am an indigene of Akwa Ibom State but was born and brought up in Lagos State, Nigeria. I have a chocolate-like complexion, I am a humble and easygoing person, I am also an introvert, I don't really like crowds, and a Christian by religion. I am a third-year student of mechanical engineering at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

My hobbies are playing games and solving mathematical problems. I also love cooking as well. Talking about cooking, my best food is fried rice and chicken, and I also love food that tastes good.

I got to know about this platform through a friend, @imohmitch, a course mate and friend from my first year at university. He told me about this ecosystem, and being found in the evolution from web2 to web3, I found interest in everything web3. Here in Nigeria, a lot of young people are waking up to what this tech can really do.

From smart contracts that remove the need for middlemen to DeFi (decentralised finance) platforms that let you save, borrow, or earn without going through a traditional bank (which is centralised)—the possibilities are huge. I picked interest in becoming a part of this great community; I wish to learn from the community while contributing where I can for us to grow. I am excited to be here, bringing in my skills. I wish we could work together for the growth of the people, the community and the ecosystem at large.
