My Introduction To Steemit

About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Privilege Andrew Okafor, but I go by several nicknames-Anchor Boss Lady and Madam Cough. I’m from Urhobo a language in Delta, Nigeria. I’m an extrovert, an easy-going person who enjoys connecting with people and sharing ideas.

I studied Educational Administration and Planning at the University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria, and I’ve always had a passion for teaching because I believe the teaching profession allows you to not only impact lives but also have time for your family. After completing my education, it wasn’t an easy journey to secure a good job, especially with the kind of government structure we have in Nigeria.

I started with teaching in a private school, but the pay was barely enough to sustain anything meaningful. So, I decided to explore other opportunities. I ventured into networking businesses and gradually expanded my experience. Today, I’m a networker and also work as an Administrator at Donak Hospitals Limited, Kwale, Delta State, Nigeria.

Apart from administrative work, I work as a Screening officer for Tuberculosis. My role goes beyond documentation and screening patients - I collect samples, consult with them, and provide counseling, especially for those co-infected with HIV. I also handle drug administration after proper testing using GeneXpert, TB Lamp, Trunat and sometimes X-ray for diagnosis when needed.

Hobbies
I enjoy cooking, especially Nigerian dishes—it’s one of my favorite ways to relax and make people happy. Interestingly, searching for or doing case findings of tuberculosis patients has also become a hobby for me. It gives me joy when I find a patient and personally see them through treatment.

Likes and Dislikes
I hate being idle, and I dislike lazing around. I enjoy keeping myself busy, working smart, and exploring meaningful things on my phone to learn and improve.

How I Discovered Steemit
I got to know about Steemit through a friend, @goodnewsnoah, who is a Steemit representative. She introduced me to the platform and explained how it works, and I decided to join because I love opportunities that promote learning, growth, and impact.

The Kind of Posts I Want to Share
Here on Steemit, I plan to showcase how I run my networking business and also share information about the products I market, especially how they can help treat certain ailments. Apart from that, I will share personal life experiences and other meaningful content to connect with people.

My Contribution and Vision
One of my biggest goals is to help people become more aware of tuberculosis, because it is spreading faster than it should due to ignorance. From time to time, I will use my posts to create awareness about it and educate people.
