The day began in golden hues crisp, bright, and alive. Birds sang lazily, children played in the park, and the sky was a limitless canvas of blue. I sat on my balcony, sipping tea, convinced it would be just another perfect summer day.

The Turn of the Weather

Then without warning the wind growled. Distant thunder rolled like a drumbeat. The clouds once wispy and white darkened into giants.

• First a single drop cold and surprising hit my hand.
• Then a dozen more, tapping impatiently on rooftops.
• Within minutes, the streets were silver rivers, and the sun… gone.

Why Do We Love Sudden Rain?

There’s something wildly beautiful about weather’s unpredictability.
