Achievement 3 by @asma-khan Task : Content Etiquette on steemit
ACHIEVEMENT 3
Hello everyone I hope you are all doing great. Today I am sharing my Achievement 3 post where I have learned how to follow the proper rules when creating content on Steemit.
What is plagiarism?
DEFINITION
Plagiarism means taking someone else’s work I mean their writing pictures and idea and using it as your own without telling them. so this is not allowed on Steemit. We should always share our own original content and clearly mention the source if we use somebody else’s work.
EXPLANATION OF PLAGIARISM
If a person makes blogs or content by their thoughts and you come and copy and pick her or his content without permission so it is known as plagiarism
it is not only allowed in Steemit but also on other online platforms too . bye download someone's videos and then creating content without knowing them is call plagiarism
FOR EXAMPLE
If you take a image or video from another website and post it on Steemit without saying where it came from or who made it that is plagiarism.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM:
there are many types of plagiarism but I will write some of them
- Full CopyPaste Plagiarism:
This happens when someone copies content from other website or person without changing anything and posts it as their own. so this is called completed copy-paste plagiarism .
2.Source Base Plagiarism:
Source based plagiarism is when you share someone else’s work and try to give credit but the source you mention is incorrect.
Self Plagiarism:
Self plagiarism means using your own old content again without telling to anyone it was uploaded before. Even it is your work and posting it again without a note can be Wrong. It is always better to mention if something was already posted.Paraphrasing plagiarism:
When you copy someone's content or ideas and then change a little bit but the idea is still the same because words are different but the idea was the same so it is also called plagiarism.
5.Mosaic plagiarism:
Mosaic plagiarism means when you take some parts from other people’s content and mix it in your own It is like putting different words together but still it is not fully your own writing and thoughts so it is known as plagiarism.
6.Accidental plagiarism:
Accidental plagiarism is plagiarism when you write the content in your own words but unfortunately it has been written in somewhere places so it is also call plagiarism.
7.Direct plagiarism:
Direct plagiarism is known as plagiarism where you put someone's content directly and would not do any changes in it.
- Inaccurate Authorship:
Inaccurate Authorship is plagiarism when a person creates content and gives wrong information about that content so it means that you consider that work by your own work and would not give to the right writer.
My suggestion for avoiding plagiarism is that:
make sure your content must be in your own words and your own thoughts beause your idea will be differentt and easy to explain to others and will not be a plagiarism but if you use copyright content so it means you are a cheater and cheater does not use their brain so always think unique and your your own thoughts and don't copy someone else content and give your name be honest always you dont have the right to copy someone else ideas or words you have your own ability so you should show your ability not by using others so these are my suggestion fo those who apply plagiarism
now let give more to know about
What is a Citation?
Citation is called reference when you given credit to the original source from where you get the information and telling to others that these ideas I get from those sources.
Let suppose:
suppose you wrote a post about education and you find a line from website
