Achievement.1:My introduction to Steemit

Hello everyone.Hope you are all having a great day.My name is Mofor Sheila and my Steemit name is @akwasheila.I am a selfless,independent and quiet woman from Cameroon based in the economic capital called Douala.I am a tall and brown skin woman aged 35.

I come from a small and loving family of three.Two girls and a boy.I am the second.I however grew up with my wonderful cousins that I call sisters (they sacrificed a lot for us while growing up) Today,I am a proud mother of two amazing, wonderful,intelligent and beautiful kids.A boy and a girl.My baby girl is 4 and is going to primary 1 while her big brother my little man is 10 years old and is going to form 2.With them there is never a dull moment in my life.

Growing up as a kid l loved reading novels.I could literally kill for a Historical Romance,Halerquin,or an intriguing novel.However now that I have grown up, I turn to still love romance but not that much.I prefer reading books on people's personal experiences that shows their struggle and rise.I love reading books about our African History and great leaders like Nkwame Nkrumah and Nelson Mandela .I also love music.Hip hop,Rnb,Nigerian music and also our Cameroonian music's like bikutsi and what we call old timers.Music inspires me,calms me down and also makes me work better while listening to it.I remember how my mum used to scream at me to lower the volume and today my 4 year old princess does the same.Watching movies is also something I love doing.Any good movie no matter what genre it is .I could stay glued to the television for hours watching movies and I think my son is taking over though he is more into action and thriller movies.

I am a holder of a Bachelor's degree in History/political science.I also have a diploma in Marketing and Advertising.However, when I moved to Douala after my degree to hustle,the only job that was easy available was teaching.While in the teaching field I did several courses like the Cambridge Primary Certification, Child psychology program and the Early years certification.

As earlier mentioned I am a certified teacher.I have been teaching for 13 years now.I started teaching at the African American School Bonanjo.This is an International school with very few kids in class.I had just 8 kids in my class However, teaching in this school was an eye opener for me.The philosophy of the school was African centralism that is believing and making the kids understand that everything began or has some roots in Africa.I had some wonderful kids who kept challenging me everyday.These kids were from different nationalities and all had unique characters.They made teaching fun and it became a hobby rather than a job.They were kindergarten kids but their level of intelligence was shocking to me.I later moved on to The Bridge which was a pure Cambridge school.I thought Grade one with 11 kids .I had 9 boys and 2 girls.There was this kid called Dinje who was always ready to challenge me.The Bridge was also fun .I was there for 4 years and later moved to become the head teacher in a new Cambridge school called Britannia International school.This was where I got to challenge myself more than ever.I had to work on the schools curriculum,train teachers,convince parents,draw up the school program and do many other things .

After working in Britannia and bringing the school up to standard I then decided it was time to change.I am presently the head teacher of Explorers World Academy kotto Douala.This a new school which I started and it's been three years of amazing challenges and fun

I guess that is all from me for now. As a teacher I will be sharing a lot on my fun activities with my kids though they are currently on holidays.I will also be talking about my life experience which helped shaped me a lot,my hustle and also some level of motivation.Enjoy the rest of your day.
