#The strength of an African woman
Whenever a woman is mentioned first thing that comes to my mind is strength, elegance, beauty and home, Now I will tell you why, as I take you through a brief about my Mother and other women.
The Woman you see standing up there is my beautiful mother, though my mother got married in her early 20s she never held back her love from us even though at that early stage she never really had enough income to support her husband to Cather for the home she, never stop supporting in her little way . Guess what she sold to support my father's master degree, Our locally made food "Akara"
Akara is made from beans powder and fried with groundnut oil, akara could be used for breakfast preferably with custard etc.. My mother sold this at the street where we had a little cues and some days in our local market she will never bother us about coming to the cues nor local market to help her sale,
Recall that I mentioned earlier that she was in her early 20's, my father will fetch firewood and cut them into smaller pieces to make it easy to use . Now, she will wake up early in the morning at about 4 am to soak the beans in water and then wash thoroughly to remove it chave and then take it to the meal to be smoothly blended once it's time for her to start she would sit on our local sit to mix the beans using a moter . My Dad sometimes will assist her do it but she mostly will want to do it herself so it can come out just so fine and smooth..
The question is where was I, wellI I was very little at about 7 years old, though I had older siblings ,my mum won't allowed us stress our selves.
When she finishes from the market she would buy foodstuffs on her way back and she would cook for us to eat before she could rest against the next day.. we never cried for hunger because my mum was always there to support whenever my dad wasn't financially bouyant... She made the home so lifely .. she made out time for farming as well.. she had a garden in our compound and also a large portion of land where she cultivated cassava and other crops.
Just imagine a mother of 4 children as at then,
My mother is indeed and African woman.
I am multivated by @lovinah to write this post, look , a beautiful African woman @lovinah in the process of making my hair neatly carrying her beautiful Baby on her back for hours to plate my hair.
she is so dedicated and full of strength. Mother's be it Africa or other continent's, I am proud of you.. you are indeed a pillar that can never be shaken . We appreciate all you do to keep the home, a place to love , live and be happy , fathers aren't left out but for today, we want to talk about our mother's...I mentioned Africa because this is my continent where I was born and brought up Thus I've witnessed the strength of an African woman
My mum my strength,
Women as a whole go through alot ,yet they remain strong, give birth, lost some pan of blood every month go through pangs of birth pains , carry a child in her womb for good nine (Months) care and support the home and still she loves care and cook for the home she loves selflessly to that end women, African women represent strength for me.
Yes mothers heart re big to contain lot and lot of love we do this with great joy, your mum is so beautiful.
Thank you so much 😊
