Shortfilm: The Invention of Love

I don't want to spend too many words on this film that I looked up after a conversation with a friend on Steemit.
What is love? Is it an invention, can you force it or is it something that you encounter during your life simply because you have known this person or persons before? If we look at life, nature, we see that everything repeats itself. This means that there is no end, and no beginning. We are in the vicious circle of life in which some participate and others do not. You can call it instinct why you click with one person from the first minute while you don't like another.

The story

In this film we see an inventor who is somewhat lost. He can think of and make everything except the love of his life. When he goes into nature on his self-made horse, he meets the "love of his life". A small gesture, picking a flower, is enough to win her over.

See for yourself how it continues and of course you can also read what others write. What I miss there is the fact that being together is a choice. Those who love nature and consciously choose to live in an industrial area should not complain about the lack of nature. I also wonder why this lady does not grow some plants while her lover invents all kinds of things with cogs (quite an achievement in itself, although there is no clock or watch).

The first mistake the lady makes is that when she goes out and her husband wants to go with her, she says: just stay inside and tinker. Then her eyes open (no love present that makes her blind to the world where she herself has decided to live).

Love is taking and giving. It is not said that the inventor could not or would not have wanted to live in nature. Did he ever suggest this?

When she has disappeared, he stays behind and the only thing left for him is to recreate his beloved, including a heart (it looks quite artistic) that ticks.

Does this mean that love has been invented? It seems that way when we look at current developments, where customer service, conversation partners and inflatable sex dolls are already being replaced by robots that are a little more cuddly than a mechanical woman with cogs that hopefully won't rust.

Thanks to your write up, I was able to get a clearer message of the short movie.

Considering the fact, that the rose flower was the only thing the guy had to show to win her heart , she had that attachment to the flower. For her, it was like a symbol of “love”.

She felt heart broken seeing a flower she had treasured been thrown away and replaced by a mechanical flower.

As for the guy, I knew he was going to go all Frankenstein to recreate his wife after she passed away or left.

I believe this guy is bo Frankenstein it's more the robot way.

Did you see A Nightmare before Christmas? Sally was also a creation, meant for company but un unwilling one. Ready to poison her creature.
Dogs are more loyal. 😉

How are you and is your job? No more boring hours and naps at daytime?

🍀♥️

Hahaha…

I’m know longer there.. I’ve gotten a new one, that’s why I’ve not been to consistent on Steemit. This new one is more tasking..

How many jobs further are you by now? Well, at least you are no longer bored.
I have a new job too and since today I am a Steem Witness @wakucat so at least I pay now for the transfers of my comments.
A great day!

Congratulations ma’am .

I’ve been seeing your footprints everywhere on Steemit. Immediately, I saw the username @wakucat, I just know is no other person than you.

But come to think of it, what inspired the name “wake up kitty”??
Does your cats sleep too much or is a way to motivate yourself to do something whenever you are feeling dull?

first of all waku is a combination of: Wa Ku (wow cool) in Chinese and it's also a combi of the name I use.
I once told in dream steem how I received the name "wake up" kitty. It was my brother who said it and found me very naive. He always said: Wake up Kitty, don't believe everything they tell you, don't be so naive, they are fooling around you and try to rip you off.

You never read that? If I remember well you also took part and told your parents weren't very original picking your name.

Thanks for the congratulations. Not that you can't do what I do. Pay to run a server and a node and help Steemit keep running smoothly.

Now you are here, did you vote for me? If so I will follow you.
Don't forget to comment since that is what @wakucat likes to create: a lively place to be where we show interest in another and have fun together. Since that is how social media should look like.

I wish you a great day and thanks for stopping by and your kind words.

Dull? I can't remember the last dull time let alone being bored.

wonderful and tragic. I love when artists are able to create something without saying a single word. This is a great find that you have here.

I saw the video, I agree with you, the woman's failure to NOT allow her husband to accompany her, thus a constant circle is formed in which she does her activities and he does his ,here there is already a kind of break between them without realizing it...... Love is giving and receiving, I agree again with this phrase, however some people pretend to receive without giving, in their arrogance when thinking that there is something in them that other people DO NOT have, they deserve everything and more, the couple accepts this even without realizing it, but upon discovering their mistake, their disappointment is so great that they think how stupid they have been, love is a feeling in which if we involve our brain we will NEVER feel it, so we have to choose, brain, or love, I choose the BRAIN

This sounds like an interesting storyline in our current world where we can have virtual companion and all that we can mold into our specific preferences. Will try to look for this movie on Netflix after this.
