Since returning home, I hadn’t visited my garden. Today, on a whim, I went there. Upon arriving, I saw that the betel nut trees I had planted were overrun with weeds. Because of the weeds, the trees were almost merging into the ground, unable to access the soil's natural fertility — the weeds were absorbing all the nutrients instead.

These weeds typically grow during the monsoon season. Once they get rainwater, they start spreading rapidly. They can cause serious damage to the trees. Among these weeds are vines that cling tightly to the trees, preventing them from growing properly.

Seeing the condition of the trees today filled me with sadness. So without any delay, I got to work and started clearing out the weeds.

I went back to the house and brought a sickle and a small spade. Then I began pulling out the weeds from the roots. The sun was blazing, but I didn’t let the heat stop me — I knew the weeds had to be cleared, no matter how exhausting it was. So I kept on working with care and determination.

Once the weeds were removed, the whole area looked much more open. It now looked as if only the betel nut trees were there. Just a little while ago, it seemed like there were no trees at all — only a mass of weeds. I carefully cleaned the base of each tree so that the betel nut plants could grow faster and stronger.

These trees are planted in a neat row along the boundary wall. Not only will they grow tall and bear fruit, but they will also enhance the beauty of the garden. Because they’re planted in a straight line, they look quite lovely even from a distance. Anyone who visits my garden sees these trees and always compliments how beautifully they’re arranged.

Tell about what crops or gardens you have grown or visited.

I have presented my betel nut garden to you. This is a garden that I maintain. I have a lot of emotions mixed with this garden. Every tree in the garden is very important to me. I have planted betel nuts around the garden. My emotions and love are mixed with these betel nuts. I would suggest you to plant betel nuts in a row by keeping a space of 1 foot along the boundary of the house or garden. They will enhance the beauty of your house as well as give good yield.

What measures are taken for the diagnosis and prevention of various diseases?

I have taken a lot of care of these trees. When I initially planted these crops, I saw a type of virus in the trees. Later, I contacted the fertilizer shop and they brought a spray to remove the virus from the trees. And after applying it at that speed, the insects from the trees died. I have also used various types of organic fertilizers on the trees. As a result, my crops are getting fatter and bigger very quickly.

Do you think your garden and crop can contribute to the economy? .Tell us about the size of your garden and the quality of your soil.

I think these trees of mine will play an important role in the economy. Because betel nut trees can yield 400 to 500 betel nuts per season. And the price of one betel nut is three to four taka. By planting these trees in the abandoned land that used to be empty, I hope to get a big amount of money from there every year.

My soil here is beledoas soil. As a result, any type of tree grows here. Our Jhenadah region is a suitable place for all cultivation. Fruits and vegetables grow very well in this region. Betel nuts are seen to grow very well here.

Finally, I hope that these hobby trees of mine will grow up and bear fruit one day. And will increase the beauty of my garden. I have developed a loving relationship with every tree in my garden. So I have love and affection for every tree. From there, I took much more care of these tasks.
