Just putting a seedling in the ground doesn’t mean it’ll grow. You need to know when to plant, and you have to pay attention to what the tree needs. I’ve seen people plant too early or too late, and most of their trees didn’t make it. The season you choose really matters.
I’ve also seen others wait a little longer, choose the right moment—and almost every tree they planted pulled through. In most cases, it all came down to one thing: the season they picked.

Write about the advantages and disadvantages of planting trees during the rainy season.

Advantages of planting trees during the rainy season

Nature waters for you

Once the rains start, you can trust that the soil will stay moist. You don’t need to carry water every day or worry that your seedlings will dry out.

Soft soil makes digging easier

Anyone who has tried digging on a dry, cracked ground knows how tough it can be. But during the rainy season, the earth loosens up and becomes soft ,and planting feels less like hard labor.

Less heat stress on young trees

The cooler, cloudy weather during the rains gives your saplings time to adjust. They’re not fighting off sunburn or dehydration from day one.

Roots settle faster

With steady moisture in the soil, the roots can spread without stress. This early growth often decides whether a tree survives long-term.

Advantages of planting trees during the rainy season

Too much rain can turn dangerous
In areas where it rains heavily, too much water can sit around the roots. That water doesn’t just drown the plant—it invites rot.

Diseases spread faster in wet weather

Wet leaves and soil can attract fungus and pests. If you’re not checking regularly, one sick sapling can infect the others quickly.

Movement gets harder
Flooded roads and muddy fields can make it hard to transport seedlings or even get to the planting site.

Write about the advantages and disadvantages of planting trees in seasons other than the rainy season.

Advantages of planting trees in season other than rainy season

You can plan without pressure
When the skies are clear, you can choose your planting days freely. That helps when working with volunteers or waiting on deliveries.

Access to land is easier
You’re less likely to get stuck in the mud. Tools stay clean, and it’s simpler to move around and organize your planting.

Fewer pests and fungus
Many diseases that affect young trees don’t spread as fast in dry conditions. If you’re planting in a spot where disease has been a problem, this might be your best bet.

Disadvantages of planting trees during the rainy season

You’ll be in charge of watering
No rain means no help from nature. That means daily watering until your tree is strong enough to manage on its own.

The heat can be unforgiving
In dry months, especially under a blazing sun, young trees can wilt or burn before their roots settle. Shade or regular watering becomes a must.

It takes more effort
If you’re planting many trees, the cost of water and the time spent caring for each one adds up quickly.

Write your conclusion about which season you think is best for planting trees.

My Conclusion: What Season Do I Trust?

From everything I’ve seen and tried, I still believe the rainy season is the best time to plant trees, especially in places where water is not easy to come by. It gives your saplings a head start without making you run around with watering cans.

That said, I’ve also seen people succeed in the dry season—mainly those who planned well, had water nearby, and were ready to put in extra care. So if you’re working on a small project or in a controlled area, the dry season can work too.

But if you're planting in open land, working with limited help, or hoping for the highest survival rate, my honest advice is: wait for the rains. You’ll thank yourself later.
