Let's Talk About Birds.

INTRODUCTION

Birds are beautiful creatures that one could decide to rare at home. They do not cause any harm to a person which is why they are domestic animals and so are rared at home.
There are quite a number birds the could be rared my country. Some of them include:

• Chicks
• Guinea fowl
• Ducks
• Gees
• Quail etc.

I rare broiler chicks and do it as a business. I run it in small scale as time could permit me to do.
Now I have cometo answer the questions regarding the birds, as hosted by @fannyescobar.

Do you have any birds (ave) in your house?
YES, I do have birds in my house

The birds that I rare broiler and
noiler chicks. I do rare them to be sold and make some money. I reare them in off season and during season. There are two major seasons that I reare them and that is the during the festive season of the easter period and that of the christmass stretching to the new year period.

During this two major seasons, I rear them un some few larger quantities than the off season period. This is because in these two major season, the demand for the birds are high and the chicken been the affordable source for meat, is what people likely go to entertain their families, friends and well wishers.

Do you have any birds (ave) that you admire?
Yes, I do have the birds that I admire and my reason

The birds that I admire are the fowl or chicks. They are gotten from hatchery companies that makes them available to the bird farmers. The bird farmers makes their bookings on the number of birds, the type that they want and make payment for it.

I admire the fowl or chicks birds because of their economic value they bring. When you rear the birds for business, it could generate a lot of income for you. There are also some risks that comes along with it as a result of sicknessand diseases which causes the birds to die. When they die in large quantities, the farmer could sustain losses in the business. But when they survive in their large numbers, the farmer makes huge profit also.

What type of food do you give them?
I give them feed and grinded corn

The feed is the major food for the birds. It could be bought in bags. They are of the starter and finisher types of different brands and quality. The price of the feed depends on the quality of the brand of the feed you are buying.

At some time, I also introduce the grinded corn to the when I run in short of cash to buy feed. There are some other fruits that the birds could eat that supplies them with minerals and vitamins.

Do you have them in cages or loose?
I have them in loose house

I rear my birds in loose house and not in cages. This is my preffered method to rear the birds. Some may prefer using the cages while other may prefer the loose house. With the loose house, they have more space to move around and relax. They are also protected from dangerous animals, heat and cold conditions.

The Pigeon or dove is the national bird of my country, Nigeria. It symbolizes **Peace,prosperity and tranquility. Each time the country is celebrating her independence from colonial rule, the pigeons would be released to fly into the air to mark the freedom. Hence, it shows the peceaful , tranquility and prosperous position of the country. The pigeon is a beaitiful creature
