"Contest Harvest season in my area"

Greetings to all my fellow steemians, participating in this one of a million contests is such an awesome one, and I thank the moderator of this community for organising such a great contests.

Harvesting of crops is such a enjoyable time. Because it's the time in which we farmers enjoy our years planting and also benefit from our hard work, And as a farmer we have to know when and how to harvest to build up our knowledge in farming.

In life all the crops have both planting and harvesting seasons which we have to follow, so that all our planting years will not go in vain,
So we have to know all the crops and their harvesting seasons, as for me I have written down some crops in my diary and their year of harvest so that me and my family will not make any mistakes by planting and harvesting at the wrong time.

Different crops have their seasons of both planting and harvesting, example.

• Grains crops like wheat and corn: This crops is harvested in late summer and early rain fall.

*Fresh products*: Has shorter cycles and requires agile, so it's harvested before the the rain is gone, and probably before dry season.

• cassava: the cassava tubers is mostly harvested during raining seasons, because during the dry season the ground will be too strong to pull the cassava tubers, but we also harvest cassava tubers during dry season but it's very stressful because the ground is now dried.

When a product is due for harvest you will see the product leafs being old, and no longer so greenish.

What factors can influence harvest time?

Several factors can influence harvest time, including:
Environmental Factors

1. Weather conditions: Temperature, rainfall, drought, or extreme weather events can impact crop growth and harvest timing, if the weather condition is too high or low it will affect harvesting time because the crops will no longer yeal well so we have to wait for another six months or even a year.

1. Climate: Different climates and regions have distinct growing seasons and harvest times.

1. Soil quality: Soil type, fertility, and moisture levels can affect crop growth and maturity, so to solve this problem you have to add manure to the crops through so many ways, because without manure and the soil being fertile we farmers are going to have a big loss, to avoid it you can also allow the farm to rest for two to three years for it to gain manure.

What fruits are currently being harvested in your community?

The fruit currently harvested in my country Nigeria and community is banana, my community is known for their best bananas harvest, and all around the world people are coming to buy banana from us.

Bananas! 🍌 They're a delicious and nutritious fruit, rich in potassium, vitamins, and minerals. Bananas are a great source of energy, making them a popular choice for snacks, smoothies, and post-workout fuel. They're also versatile and can be enjoyed in various ways, such as: - *Fresh*: Enjoy bananas as a quick and easy snack. - *Baked goods*: Use ripe bananas in banana bread, or cakes. - *Smoothies*: Blend bananas with your favorite fruits and milk for a creamy treat. - *Dried*: Try dried bananas as a crispy snack or add them to oatmeal or yogurt.

Can these harvested products be sold at the same price as when they are not in harvest season?

As for my country Nigeria, if the product is not in harvest season, the crop will be more costly, because the product is not much everyone will need the crops so the farmers will add their selling amount.
The reason why I don't like my country economy is because the price of commodities in Nigeria is fluctuating.

Agricultural teachers us on how to plant, harvest, e t c and doing it the right way.
