A Quick run to the Grocery Store

Hello Steemians! It's Tuesday, May 6, 2025, just a few days before the Philippines election of government officials, sa for say that a ten wheeler truck carrying election parafernalias fell on a cliff early this morning where one lost a life.

Anyway, I had a very long day today, my son, who ate very little on last night's dinner woke up at 3 am, he was very uncomfortable and he always wanted to hug me, little did I know that he was hungry or he might not realized what he was feeling yet.

It was already 5 am, he was still trying to get back to sleep until we hear his tummy rumble and said " did your hear my stomach, ma?"

I was startled and told him to stay on the bed while I go out and boil water and buy bread from the bakery store. He stayed and so I did, yet I forgot that he needs milk and bought all the money I had of bread..

I hurried home and found him still on the bed, I asked him to go out since we already had food and so he did slowly. We ate bread and soon I woke my husband to get ready for his affair that day.

When my son felt that his stomach was filled, I asked him that we go back to bed to try sleeping, I was still very sleepy and I wanted to get a few more minutes of sleep, I had been sleeping very little in the past few days because he got a fever and I had to monitor him.

Fast forward after work, I my husband couldn't get me from work so I hired a tuktuk and went home, the driver stopped in from of sulit marketing, I paid 20 pesos, that's about .361 USD, today's exchange rate of USD to pesos is 55.45 and is equivalent to 8.74 steem current price is .1443.

Since I was already in front of the grocery store, I contemplated whether I should go inside or not, it felt like I had to buy something but I had to be frugal. And then it hit me that I need to buy an new toothbrush and so I did.

Sulit Marketing is one of the cheapest grocery store in Alae, there are also stor branches on the neighbouring places. The store is complete with almost everything, they have vegetables canned stood, snacks, rice, sodas, detergent soaps, hygiene products, beauty products, flours, sugar, oil and even school supplies!

Roller coaster snacks and berry knots are pretty good tasting snacks, these are one of the top selling products

At the back cashier table and the back rack was filled with disposable cups, disposable plates and containers. The table was also filled with milk and coffee in sachets.

And aisle full of food that could break one's kidney. Be careful with eating too much of junkfoods.

The black crates holds flour, sugar oil and margarine, and on the stall were spaghetti pasta and sauces and more.

The toothbrush Costs 18.15 php and is equivalent to 3.62 steem. I needed to replace my old toothbrush because it is already too soft to use.
