Summer with a school friend

 

Summer time and we are still enjoying our free time and also using an opportunity visiting our friends or family members. I decided to visit my old friend from school, who we did not see each other for about 5 years. Nowadays thank modern technology we still keep in touch and know what we both are doing. It does not feel like we are far away and that is the best of this century and for us, young people who learnt Internet that is available everywhere since our childhood, like during COVID we all had such home schooling and that as well as social media made it possible to grow up with growing technology.

So back to me and my friend, she came to visit me and also to stay with me, like the time when we were children we had everything including our pyjamas. I picked up my friend and we took a bus to arrive to my house. Often when we come together we want to turn the time back and do what we did when we were children, of course it is to cook together, now we can do it better but also we know the safety rules. Our favourite food is pizza that we do ourselves. We usually buy different toppings and cheese.

Also the rule is to watch our favourite movie and that is “Harry Potter” movies, we usually have marathon and watch one after another, sometimes we stay very late and then fall asleep on our sofa. The good thing now there is no parents who would be telling us when to go to bed or if we need to brush our teeth. Of course, even without parents we still follow the rules that help us to keep us healthy. That means we do not eat too much sweets and fizzy drinks. Still it is important to have ice-cream evening otherwise it is not the moment of our childhood.

We usually come together twice a year in summer just enjoy warm days and also to use our summer holidays, another one in winter often to celebrate New Year together with other friends of us. I hope you also have some tradition with your friends and keep in touch with them too.
