Here are the Debate topics for week 2:

Topic 1: Can a marriage succeed without love, even if both partners are compatible and have great mutual understanding?

Deep dive into the silent distance

Once upon a time a couple was living happily. They were not just living under one roof but shared a whole life. They walked side by side, shared their morning coffees, paid their bills, planned vacations together, raised children and everything seemed fulfilled. Anyone would call it a perfect marriage, all of it felt easy and natural routine.

To the world, their marriage looked perfect, there were no loud arguments that took long to sort out or no betrayals. It was a house filled with mutual understanding and loyalty.

Behind the closed doors of their peaceful life, something was missing and faded away quietly without a farewell note. The longing passion for love had left long back without leaving any traces in their hearts. All that remained were silent conversations and the desire to avoid relationship chaos.

Some nights they would suffer themselves for the distance they have created. There was sadness in their minds that no one could explain. Yet when friends and family admired their strong bond they would simply smile in return not wanting to correct them.

Neither dared to convey their true feelings for each other - the painful truth. Their life felt full but their hearts were empty.

  • Through your entry, move into that emotional space and show us: Is love essential to keeping a relationship healthy, or can loyalty and understanding hold a relationship for a lifetime?

  • What are your thoughts about being seen as the "perfect couple" for outsiders but truly having no feelings for each other and having a huge emotional distance?

  • Is it wiser to hold on to peace or to chase what sets the heart on fire?

Topic 2: Are mothers to be blamed or judged for focusing on their careers instead of prioritizing their family and children?

Split World in One Heart

A mother who is deeply attached to her child was sitting in her cubicle completing her final task for the day. The clock striking 8 PM she shut down her laptop and hurried home. When she arrived, her chest tightened at the sight. She saw her little son waiting with his eyelids heavy with sleep. Her choices made her feel helpless.

In one world she was an independent, powerful, passionate woman building the career that she dreamed of when she was a little girl

On the other, she is the whole universe in a small boy's eyes. It was the most comforting hug for her after a long day.

The fear of losing her responsibilities and commitment to her son constantly haunted her.

She started, questioning herself quietly: "If my son is truly my priority, should I quit my dreams?" The guilt of not being a proper mom made her world split apart. She felt as if she was missing the best time with her son, those beautiful days would never come again.

Deep down she knew the truth: She wasn't absent because she didn't love him. She chased her dreams because she loved him and herself more than anyone could think.

  • Create the debate of your thoughts showing the weight of two worlds, the split of mother's mind. Should mothers be judged for pursuing their careers or dreams?

  • Is a mother who focuses on her work life and neglects the responsibility of her children, can she still be called a "perfect mom"? "They said a good mother never puts herself first but she wondered who would tell her daughter that her dreams mattered too?"

  • What defines a good mother? A mother who commits all her life to her children, raising them, or a mother who works day and night to build a better future for her children while holding on to her dreams?
