1. Do you have an idea or project in mind that you want to achieve?

There are a bazillion of projects I plan to execute. However, my most outstanding desire is building a community of young people who are excelling academically.

This idea crossed my mind after I hit my first 5.0 GPA during my second year at the University. Before now, I was that brilliant student who kept bagging more C's, B's and a few A's, regardless of how hard I worked.

I felt bad whenever I saw my CGPA and this affected my self-confidence.

I started doubting my ability, redrew from taking leadership positions and gradually began to believe that maybe I was not good enough.

More like I was an impostor.

Hitting this milestone changed my life forever. It birthed the desire to help other young people who are facing the same challenge.

2 . What are you most passionate about in your idea, project or plan?

I am most passionate about helping students move from being average to being exceptional. I understand that students earn low grades for a variety of reasons.

  • They don't believe in themselves.
  • They were told that studying hard is a waste of time. After all, who will employ you after all the toil?
  • They believe it's all about studying for long hours, sorting or engaging in examination malpractice.
  • They lack the knowledge of how to prepare effectively for examinations and tests.

I remember reaching out to first-class graduates and students back then.

Their counsel was beneficial, yet it wasn't enough to take me to my desired point. But after discovering what was actually missing, what most people were not telling me, I knew having those A's legitimately was beyond reading for long hours.

I am determined to help interested students who want to break this jinx. I wish to help them make a mark for themselves by teaching them what has worked for me and my mentees these past years.

Through this community, students can get inspired by others to perform better at school.

3 . If your idea, project, or plan is already in operation, tell us about your experience?

I am currently hosting a 3-month academic mentorship programme for young people within school age. This is my first public project on this in 2025. And so far, I've been able to reach high school students, JAMBites and undergraduates from various parts of Nigeria.

Before now, I only taught people in my circle, visited rural and modern schools to inspire the young kids there.

During a 5-Day FREE academic mentorship I hosted in 2022 at a school 22 km from my town.

Seeing them excel inspired me to take it a notch higher. Particularly the case of a girl who moved from scoring less than 180 to smashing over 270+ points in her UTME. See full story here.

Right now, I see so many messages from my mentees about their academic success which makes me so excited. 92% are on a first class. Others have earned scholarships due to always scoring high. I am a 2x scholarship beneficiary because of taking this bold step.

I wish to increase this number and testimonies in the next coming month.

If you are a student who wishes to improve your grades and confidence in school, do not hesitate to reach out to me.

I have this mantra that:

There is no mountain too high to climb, neither are there dreams too great to achieve.

If I can rise from being an average student, then you too can become that exceptional student you dream of becoming.

Thank you to @hive-154900 for the contest. I look forward to reading from @zhanavic69, @kyrie1234, @nayita238 and @thaizmaita.
