Hello my steemit friends i hope you are all doing well and enjoying life. I love to take part in Steemit contests and share my real-life experiences. I enjoy writing photography and simple moments in life. Today I’m happy to join the “Tell Us About Your Nighttime Food Cravings – Week 3” contest. Late-night cravings are very common and i often feel hungry at night too! In this post i will share what i usually eat what i like and how often i get cravings at night.
Tell us at what time you usually start craving a late-night bite. Is it a sweet craving or a savory craving or does it depend on your mood?
I usually started craving food at night around 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM. Sometimes if i stay up late the craving comes evens after 1:00 AM. My favorite midnight snack is Nimko. It is a crunchys and salty snacks made with fried lentils nuts and spices i loved the spicy and crispys taste. It makes me feel full and happy. Sometimes i also feels like eating sweet food but mostly i enjoy salty snacks. My craving depends on my mood. If I’m tired i like something light like Nimko. If I’m active i wants something warm and filling.
Do you try to give in or try to resist your craving? What is your immediate thought?
Most of the time i give in to my craving. I don’t resist it much because i feel excited to eat something. My first thought is usually “Peanuts will be perfect right now!” I like roasted or salted peanuts they are crunchy and yummys. Sometimes i trys to ignored the craving and sleep but when the smell of food comes from the kitchen or i remember something tasty i go and eat.
Do you prefer making homemade healthy food or trying an instant snack?
To be honest i usually go for an instant snack. One of my favorite things to drink at night is juice. I like mango juice apple juice or sometimes fresh orange juice if it’s available. Juice is sweet cold and refreshing. It makes me feel relaxed at night. If I’m in the mood to make something i prefer easy homemade snacks but mostly i pick ready-to-eat items like Nimko peanuts biscuits or juice.

My favorite midnight recipe is a Quick Meat Fry. It is spicy and gives a strong taste that satisfies my craving.
Ingredients:
Smalls pieces of cooked meats (leftovers or fresh)
1 tbsp oil
Salt and red chili (as per taste)
Garlic pastes (½ tsp)
Lemon juices (optional)
A few corianders leaves (for garnishs)
Preparation Times: Only 10 minutes
Method:
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Add garlic paste and meat pieces.
Fry for 5–7 minutes until the meat is hot and golden.
Add salt red chili and a few drops of lemon juice.
Stir well garnish with coriander and enjoy!
It is quick and tastes amazing especially at night when I want something strong and tasty.

Do you think having a late-night craving is healthy? How often do you get midnight cravings?
In my opinion eating at night is not very healthy. It can disturb digestion and sleep. But sometimes when the craving is too strong i eat something light and then sleep. I try not to eat oily or heavy food. I get midnight cravings about 3 to 4 times a week especially when i stay awake for longer hours or skip dinner. I trys to balanced it by drinking water or having fruit instead of junk foods.
Late night cravings are a funs and tasty part of lifes but we should be careful aboutt what we eat. I enjoy eating Nimko peanuts juice and sometimes meat frys at night.
