I went to their house to drop off a package from my in-law. When I arrived, the maid answered the door. As I entered, I ran into Mrs. Uju, who had bruises all over. I initially thought they had been attacked, but then I saw Mr. Alex running down the stairs.

It's important to realize that you can love someone who is not good for you. People often remain in bad, harmful, or even abusive relationships because of their love for each other.

It's not just that they think they love each other; they truly do. You can love a friend or family member struggling with addiction, even if they cause pain to you and others. Children can love parents who neglect or mistreat them. Similarly, we can love a partner who is bad for us.

Love alone cannot keep a relationship going. It shouldn't be the only reason for two people to stay together. Instead, real unconditional love comes from building a strong and healthy connection between them.

This is really unfortunate. From what I see in Mr. Alex and his wife's marriage, there was a significant emotional gap that grew over time until it became unmanageable. They appeared to be the 'perfect couple' to others, but inside, they were at odds. If they had sought help sooner, they might have been able to save their marriage.

A perfect couple shows loyalty and understanding as the base of their relationship. When both partners understand each other, it allows love to grow. With love, everything is balanced, and that's what makes a couple perfect.

Is it wiser to hold on to peace or to chase what sets the heart on fire?

Wisdom lies in finding balance. But how can someone with a burning heart find calm? Sometimes, it's better to cling to peace and let the heart's fire fade.
