Tell Your Story #42 (MATHEENA's RECOGNITION DAY)
Good day steemians!
Every mom's happiness is to see their kids receive an award. I didnt pressure Matheena because in her age now, she is still so playful. That is why when her adviser chatted me and told me that Matheena will receive an award I was shocked and really hugged tight Matheena.
But I didnt inform her right away, I first told her what if she will not receive an award, what would she feel. I want to make sure that if she really knows how to accept if she will not be receiving any award. Good thing, she just reply that its ok not to receive an award, she will not cry and she will not get jealous to them.
I told her the truth 2 days before the recognition rites because she keeps on asking why I need to buy her a new dress and why her father keeps on congratulating her.
The night before we sleep, I hugged her and say congrats anak. She opened her eyes wide and look at me and asked why? I then told her the truth, after knowing the truth she was speechless so she just hugged me and tears slowly flowing on her cheeks.
From that scenario, I can see from her reaction that she was jus ok whenever she will not receive any award but she will be the happiest if she will receive it. She then told me because she wanted to see me happy. I then replied to her that thank you anak, but never pressure yourself because I am still happy to support you with/without a medal.
Their recognition rites has finally came. She was so stunning on her pink with gold color dress. And since its our last day of work and our card day, I still went to school and do the necessary things. I just instructed my sister to let my daughter get ready at 12noon and let her do Matheena's make up.
To make the story short, I just had a half day work because I dont want to miss Matheena's recognition.
I really cant measure the feeling upon receiving Matheenas award. I am so happy when any of my advisory class receives an award but the feeling is so different when your child will receive it.
I am so grateful to God for Matheenas success this school year and for helping me allthroughout the year. He has always been my safe refuge and my friend whenever I needed someone the most.
Matheena is the youngest on their sections but she was still able to make it with an award. Congrats to me and my partner and to all the supportive parents out there.
Thanks for reading everyone.

Your daughter is so beautiful. Her dress is gorgeous too. It is also pleasing to know that she is talented.
What I have learnt from this experience is to be the best version of myself at all times. Nature rewards those who make an effort to get better, whether they do it consciously or subconsciously.
Congratulations, Matheena!
Congratulations to your child ma'am! Getting an award after a whole school year of hard work is truly worth it. The dress looks very pretty too. You have a a great taste
