Hassan and Saira had been married for over seven years. To the outside world, they seemed like the perfect couple ,, two people who had built a comfortable life together. They had a beautiful home, successful careers, and a routine that everyone admired. They shared everything bills, responsibilities, vacations, and even the small joys of life.

But behind the closed doors of their house, something was missing. It wasn’t that they fought or argued. It was just that their relationship had faded into something quiet and distant, like a book that had lost its pages over time.

One evening, after finishing dinner, Hassan and Saira sat in the dining room, the room lit by the soft glow of the chandelier above them. The ticking of the clockk on the wall was the only sound in the room. Their conversation, like their marriage, had become routine.

Hassan: “Did you call the plumber about the sink?”

Saira: “Yes, he’s coming tomorrow at 10.”

Hassan: “Good.”

(Silence.)

Saira: “I left your shirt on the sofa. Ironed it for your meeting.”

Hassan: “Thanks.”

(Another silence. The ticking clock fills the space.)

Saira: “Sometimes I wonder… is this it?”

Hassan: “What do you mean?”

Saira: “I mean… we talk, we eat, we share the same roof. But do we really live?”

Hassan: “We don’t fight. We handle things. Isn’t that enough?”

Saira: “Peace isn’t the same as happiness. I miss being seen, not just managed.”

Hassan: “I miss being heard… but we’ve both stopped trying, haven’t we?”

Saira: “Maybe we just got used to the silence. Pretending everything is fine.”

Hassan: “People think we’re the perfect couple.”

Saira: (soft laugh) “People see what we want them to see. Not the emptiness behind our smiles.”

(A long pause. They both look down at their half-finished meals.)

Hassan: “Do you want to fix this?”

Saira: “Do you?”

(No answer.)

Through your entry, move into that emotional space and show us: Is love essential to keeping a relationship healthy, or can loyalty and understanding hold a relationship for a lifetime?

In a relationship like Hassan and Saira had, love is very important. Yes, they were loyal to each other. They had understanding. They didn’t fight. They shared responsibilities and lived under the same roof peacefully. But something was still missing ... love.

Even though they looked like the “perfect couple” to others, deep inside they both felt alone. They cared for each other, but there was no real emotiional connection. They were living together, but not feeling together.

A marriage like that cannot make a person truly happy. A home only feels warm and beautiful when there is love between husband and wife when they look at each other with affection, miss each other, and express their emotions. Love makes people care deeply, respect each other’s feelings, and fear losing one another.

Without love, life becomes routine like their. Quiet dinners, short talks, and smiles that hide the pain.., that’s not real happiness. When love is there, everything becomes more meaningful. Even small moments bring joy.

So yes, love is essential. Loyalty and understanding are important too, but only love can make a relationship feel complete, alive, and full of happiness.

What are your thoughts about being seen as the "perfect couple" for outsiders but truly having no feelings for each other and having a huge emotional distance?

Being seen as a perfect couple from the outside means nothing if there are no real feelings between the two people. Hassan and Saira looked perfect to others., they fulfilled their duties, stayed loyal, and took care of each other. But deep inside, they were empty. There was no love, no emotional connection.

Living like that is not a happy life. A house only becomes beautiful when there is love between a husband and wife. Love is what brings life to the relationship. It’s not enough to just live together and handle responsibilities.

When there is love, they care for each other’s feelings, they worry when one is upset, they smile with each other, and they express love openly. That’s what brings peace and joy into the home.

When parents truly love each other, even children feel happier and safer seeing that love. Without love, a relationship becomes dry. You might stay together, but you feel lonely. When you love someone, their silence hurts, their absence feels heavy, and you fear losing them. That fear makes you value and protect the relationship.

Is it wiser to hold on to peace or to chase what sets the heart on fire?

I believe it's always better to chase what sets your heart on fire. Even if we have to take risks, even if it brings challenges, we should still go for what we truly want in life.

Just staying in one place because it feels "peaceful" or because we’re afraid someone might leave us that’s not a real life. We shouldn’t live in fear or just accept a boring life because it’s easy.

We must think about what’s best for us and for our future. I believe in working hard for my dreams. I would rather stay with people who truly value me, who respect me and understand my worth,, not just anyone, just because it’s convenient.

Even if the road is difficult, I would still choose to follow my heart. Life isn’t just about staying calm and quiet. Sometimes, we need to step out of our comfort zone, listen to our heart, and do things that bring us real happiness. Even if it means facing struggles, making changes, or putting in a lot of time and effort we should still try.

If we love someone or want something deeply, we should try to achieve it, not just leave it to luck. We should work for it with full dedication. Whether it’s convincing our parents for something we want or fighting for our dreams we must be brave.

That's it from today’s blog. I hope you liked it. With best wishes. Now I would like to invite:

Un matrimonio simple, sin ningún sentido que los hiciera amarse. Una vida llena de apariencias.

Nada fácil de llevar esos momentos a solas en una casa, porque no había ningún hogar con estos comportamiento.

Es mejor la soledad individual que acompañada, por alguien que no se ama.

Thank you for your words. You understood it so well. Yes, sometimes being alone feels much better than being with someone who doesn’t love you anymore.

Living in a house without real feelings just becomes a routine. It's sad when everything looks perfect from outside, but inside there's just silence. I'm glad you felt the emotions in the story.
