My Story A Journey with Alkhidmat Foundation

I have been working as a volunteer with Alkhidmat Foundation one of the largest non profit organizations in Pakistan. It is charitable organization dedicated to education healthcare disaster relief orphan care and community services.

Alkhidmat volunteer

Their goal is to uplift underprivileged communities and help them build a better future.

Alkhidmat Classes

When they launched the “Bano Qabil” program to teach digital skill to poor students I join as a volunteer completely free of cost. Despite being a skilled digital marketing mentor I was not offered payment when they hired other. Still I continued with a kind heart because I wanted to empower student through education.

Later the organization realized that the paid mentors were not delivering content properly so they called me again to rejoin the program. Once more I accepted the offer and worked without expecting anything in return. My only motivation was to help students from poor background.

Q1: Do you think giving everything is a mistake or is it beautiful when it’s reciprocated?

In my view giving everything is not a mistake especially when you are doing it with pure intentions. When your love effort and support are reciprocated it becomes something beautiful and meaningful. However if you are the only one giving while the other person offers nothing in return not even appreciation it eventually drains your energy and emotions. So its only beautiful when mutual respect and effort exist.

Q2: Do you think giving everything allows people to take advantage of your feelings?

Unfortunately yes many times people take advantage of a kind and giving heart.

Tuition Classes

In addition to my experience with Alkhidmat Foundation I also work as a tuition teacher. One day an orphan student came to my tuition center. I was deeply moved by his situation and decided to teach him completely free of cost. I felt it was my duty to support someone who could not afford education.

But over time the same student started taking unfair advantage of my kindness. He began demanding more and more not just academically but also asking for expensive things I could not afford. Some of these demands were Unnecessary and made me feel hurt and emotionally drained. It was disappointing to see someone misuse the support I offered from the heart.

My Reflection

These experiences taught me that being selfless is beautiful but boundaries are also important. Just because you are kind does not mean others have the right to use you. Kindness should never be mistaken for weakness. I still believe in helping others but now I do it more wisely and with awareness of who truly values my efforts.

A phrase That Applies:

"Do not let your giving heart become someone else's habit of taking without gratitude."

@hamzayousafzai I really liked your story. Giving with love is good, but it’s important to have limits to protect yourself. Helping others with care and respect is very important. Thank you.

Saludos que bonita y agradable participación nos has compartido abordando el tema muy bien, y es importante que debemos aprender que se puede dar todo si pero no debemos permitir que se aprovechen otras personas de nuestra nobleza. Ten mucho éxito.
