You can I can
YOU CAN, I CAN
A Message from One Dreamer to Another
Hello Steemit family š
This post right here is personal. The topic āYou Can, I Canā is more than just a title to me itās a reminder. A reminder that if someone else can rise from scratch and make something out of nothing, then I too can do the same. And guess what? You can too.
Weāre all carrying dreams in our hearts some loud, some hidden. Some weāve started working on, others weāre too scared to even admit out loud. But no matter what level weāre on, one thing stays the same: as long as weāre alive, itās never too late to try.
So today, Iāll be answering a few questions as part of this amazing initiative. I hope my words inspire you just a little and maybe even remind you of your own dream thatās been sleeping for too long.
- Do I have an idea or project in mind that I want to achieve?
Yes. I do. And I think about it a lot especially on quiet nights when Iām left alone with my thoughts.
You see, one of the things Iām working towards is becoming a voice for young people. I want to create a youth-centered platform where stories are told, opinions are heard, and everyday experiences are shared without shame. Think of a digital space where young people like you and me can speak our truth about our struggles, wins, talents, and lessons.
I want it to be a blend of journalism, storytelling, and creative expression. A kind of online āhubā where one personās story could help another person not feel alone. Maybe youāre battling anxiety, or maybe youāve got mad skills in writing or spoken word but donāt have where to showcase it this platform would be for you.
I believe that every young person has something inside them that the world needs. The problem is, we often donāt have the right platform, or weāre just too afraid to start. Thatās what I want to change.
- What am I most passionate about in this idea or project?
The part that drives me the most is the connection. I love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and learning from their experiences. Iām passionate about being real and creating a space where people can be real too.
I donāt just want to report stories. I want to feel them, and help others feel them too. Whether itās a story about someone chasing their dreams against all odds, or someone surviving tough times, or even someone celebrating their little wins I believe thereās power in sharing.
Another thing Iām passionate about is storytelling. Iāve always loved writing. Even in school, literature was my favorite subject. Not just because of the poems or essays, but because of how words could make you feel something. And now that Iām older, I want to use that same passion to do something meaningful.
When I imagine this platform, I donāt just see blogs and posts. I see real people talking about real issues from mental health to job struggles, from creativity to relationships. I see videos, podcasts, live chats. I see young people inspiring each other just by being honest. Thatās what fires me up.
- Is my idea or plan already in operation?
Well, it hasnāt fully taken off yet. Iām still building from the ground up. But Iāll say this Iāve started. And that alone is something Iām proud of.
Right now, Iām using Steemit as my practice space. I write posts like this one, I participate in contests, and I share little pieces of myself through my writing. Itās like Iām planting seeds now, with hopes that theyāll grow into something bigger in time.
I also use this opportunity to observe what kind of posts attract people? How do people interact with honest content? What kind of voices are missing in the online world? Itās like my own little training ground.
Even outside of Steemit, I take notes. I follow people doing similar things. I study journalism in school. I ask questions. I brainstorm names, themes, formats. So even though the platform isnāt āliveā yet, the dream is very much alive and moving.
And to be honest, Iāve learned a lot already. Iāve learned that starting small is okay. Iāve learned that not everyone will support you from the start, and thatās okay too. Iāve also learned that the more you show up, the more people begin to notice and connect with you.
Most importantly, Iāve learned that if you wait to be āperfectā before you begin, you might never start. So Iām learning as I go and Iām inviting you to walk this journey with me.
Final Thoughts:
So let me leave you with this: if you have a dream, no matter how ācrazyā it sounds, please donāt bury it. It might not look possible right now, but if others can bring their dreams to life, you can too. If I can, you can.
We are all capable of something powerful. Donāt let fear or doubt stop you. Start from where you are. Use what you have. Learn what you donāt know. Itās not about being the best itās about being you and being real.
So yes, you can and I can. And together, we can light up the world in our own unique ways.
Thank you for reading this long but heartfelt post š
I hope it touched you somehow. Iād love to hear your thoughts too whatās that one idea youāve been sitting on? Letās talk in the comments!
