The Diary Game: My Yesterday's Cravings (03-07-2025)
Good evening dear friends, my name is Ezinne Debi fondly called deboski and this is my second time posting because I am new to the group.
I hail from uburu in Ohaozara LGA Ebonyi state Nigeria and I base in Nnobi Anambra State Nigeria. I will be posting about my food journeys and cravings because I am a lover of good food.
So yesterday I was craving ogbonor soup so I decided to make it because why not? I had ogbonor at home and it's a Nigerian popular soup and very easy to make
I first of all washed my proteins (beef and cow skin locally called pomo but pronounced kpomo)
I seasoned with onion, salt and knor maggi.
These are the list of ingredients I used for cooking my soup
- Crayfish
- Dry cameroon pepper
- Salt
- Knorr maggi
- Palm oil
- Grounded ogbonor
- Protein and
- Bitterleaf
I parboiled and washed my bitterleaf and set aside to reduce the bitter taste from it.
Procedures
I placed a clean pot on the fire and fried my ogbonor a little to give it that flavour taste I desire
This is When I was putting in the ogbonor inside the pot to Fry it. Will you be trying out this recipe?
After frying for a few seconds I added my meat stock and stir then I added my seasoning and other ingredients
This is where I was stirring my ogbonor and when I added my stock
I allowed it boil for some time then I added my bitterleaf and stirred
I kept it down and cook water for garri (locally called eba) then I made my eba and enjoyed my meal.
My dry garri or cassava flakes
The outcome
Thank you for engaging, come and join me, hope you will be trying this recipe.
