And we're ready, again this year, to make tomato puree. There's been a first harvest, as you can clearly see from the image I'm pleased to attach to this report. There will most likely be a second and even a third, but in the meantime, we need to sort out these tomatoes, and there's only one way to do this: actually make the puree. We've arranged to meet up as a family for late Monday morning, even though I don't feel like it, but when you eat pasta with tomato sauce using homemade puree, the difference in taste is truly significant, so we'll just make the puree...

There's one detail, which honestly bothers me a lot, as I wouldn't have expected something like this, yet I shouldn't be too surprised, because there's no end to the mess, not even on purpose. We lent a gazebo, one of those nice ones, a sweet distant memory of the job I used to do, in the sporting goods business. I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about doing this, because when my things they take that road, we know when they leave but not when they return...

Moral of the story: we politely asked when we could get that gazebo back, because lately we'd been using it to make tomato sauce, to protect ourselves from the sun, because the sun is really beating down these days. We immediately realized that we had stepped in the wrong place, meaning we had no right to ask for that gazebo back, which is, for all intents and purposes, our property...

He was quite offended, and he stiffened and entrenched in his position, that of a person who had been lent something, the gazebo, as if for an indefinite period, when, on the contrary, we had told him we could use it at any moment*, but we preferred to get around the obstacle, getting a couple of large umbrellas and another smaller gazebo, but by then the incident had been brought up, so, honestly speaking, I'm not sure how it will end, because we're already ready for Monday with all our equipment, but when certain words, certain insinuations fly, it's difficult for everything to go smoothly. deflate...

E siamo pronti, anche quest'anno, per fare la passata di pomodoro, una prima raccolta c'è stata, come potete ben vedere dall'immagine che ho il piacere di allegare a questo mio resoconto, con buona probabilità ce ne sarà una 2° e pure una 3°, ma intanto bisogna mettere a posto questi pomodori, e per fare questa cosa c'è solo un modo, fare effettivamente la passata, ci siamo dati appuntamento, in famiglia, per la tarda mattinata di lunedì, anche se non ne avrei una grande voglia ma quando si mangia una pasta al pomodoro utilizzando una passata fatta in casa, la differenza di gusto è davvero rilevante, quindi la passata si farà e basta...

C'è un particolare, che sinceramente mi procura parecchio fastidio, in quanto non mi sarei aspettato una cosa del genere, eppure non dovrei stupirmi più di tanto, perché allo schifo non c'è mai fine, neanche a farlo apposta, abbiamo prestato un gazebo, di quelli carini, un dolce ricordo lontano del lavoro che facevo in precedenza, quello degli articoli sportivi, non avevo un grande entusiasmo di fare questa cosa, perché quando le mie cose prendono quella strada, si sa quando partono ma non quando rientrano...

Morale della favola, abbiamo chiesto, gentilmente, quando avremmo potuto riavere indietro quel gazebo, perché negli ultimi tempi lo utilizzavamo proprio per fare la passata di pomodoro, per proteggerci dall'esposizione solare, perché il sole in questo periodo picchia e non poco, subito abbiamo capito che avevamo pestato la classica merda, nel senso che non avevamo il diritto di richiedere indietro quel gazebo, che è, a tutti gli effetti, di nostra proprietà...

Si è risentito, e non poco, si è irrigidito e arroccato nella sua posizione, quella di una persona alla quale era stata prestata una cosa, il gazebo, come a tempo indeterminato, mentre al contrario gli avevamo detto che ci poteva servire da un momento all'altro*, ma abbiamo preferito aggirare l'ostacolo, rimediando un paio di larghi ombrelli e un altro gazebo di dimensioni minori, ma ormai l'incidente era stato sollevato, per cui, sinceramente parlando, non so bene come andrà a finire, perché noi per lunedì siamo già pronti con tutta la nostra attrezzatura, ma quando volano certe parole, certe insinuazioni, difficilmente tutto va a sgonfiarsi...
