1000 DAYS OF STEEM — The Diary Game - 01/04/2025 - A real hecatomb of iron... 1st part

I find myself now close to midnight, Italian time, writing this report of mine on Steemit, after yesterday's very hard day, culminating with the beauty of 7 hours of intense cleaning, today, in theory, a sort of quiet interlude awaited me, or at least it was supposed to be something like that, yes, in theory, but in practice no, absolutely not...

My partner had been nagging me for a few days, about a job that needed to be done, something to study, to make a sort of support base to recover a light source (in the 2nd or 3rd part of this little story in installments I will also photograph the finished work), so the hunt for the components to assemble together began...

The 1st part was the search for a sort of bracket, the idea was for a bar, so we went to a large specialized warehouse to look for something in this regard, the choice fell on a bar, made of iron, quite heavy, of a thickness that was not it would bend not so much because of the weight that would be placed on it, at the peak of its length, but because it had to stay still, immobile...

In the 1st image you see the bar, specially drilled by me, yes, it seems like a really easy job, but during the narration you will realize that it was not at all, on that bar some brackets had to be positioned, always according to our idea, like the one in the photo above, firmly coupled to the heavy iron bar with bolts and fixing nuts...

Now, a person might also think...

"Ok, come on, everything is fine, everything is fine, there are no particular problems, you have decided, you make it and that's it, yes, of course, why not?!?!

The corpses that you see in the 3rd and last shot of this initial day, of introduction to the big work that was done, you can admire them on display, all tested by the powerful effort to which they were subjected...

How beautiful, aren't they, my iron drill bits, or, better yet, what's left of several of them, but I'll talk to you about this specific topic, I hope, in tomorrow night's episode, barring any further unforeseen events...

Versione Italiana

Mi ritrovo ormai vicino alla mezzanotte, ora italiana, a scrivere questo mio resoconto su Steemit, dopo la pesantissima giornata di ieri, culminata con la bellezza di 7 ore di intense pulizie, oggi, in teoria, mi attendeva una sorta di intermezzo tranquillo, o almeno si doveva trattare di una cosa del genere, sì, in teoria, ma in pratica no, assolutamente...

Era qualche giorno che la mia compagna mi rompeva, per un lavoretto che c'era da fare, un qualcosa da studiare, per fare una sorta di base d'appoggio per recuperare una sorgente luminosa (nella 2° o 3° parte di questo mio piccolo racconto a puntate fotograferò anche il lavoro finito), per cui è partita la caccia ai componenti da assemblare tra loro...

La 1° parte fu la ricerca di una sorta di staffa, l'idea era per una barra, per cui in un grande magazzino specializzato siamo andati a cercare qualcosa a tal riguardo, la scelta è caduta su una barra, di ferro, bella pesante, di spessore che non flettesse non tanto per il peso che ci sarebbe andato sopra, sul culmine della sua lunghezza, ma in quanto doveva stare ferma, immobile...

Nella 1° immagine vedete la barra, appositamente forata da me, sì, sembra un lavoretto facile facile, ma nel corso della narrazione vi accorgerete che così non è stato affatto, su quella barra andavano posizionate delle staffe, sempre secondo la nostra idea, tipo quella della foto qua sopra, saldamente accoppiata alla pesante barra di ferro con delle viti a bullone con tanto di dado di fissaggio...

Ora, una persona potrebbe anche pensare...

"Ok, dai, tutto bene, tutto a posto, non ci sono particolari problemi, avete deciso, lo realizzate e il gioco è fatto, sì, certo, come no?!?!

I cadaveri che vedete nel 3° e ultimo scatto di questa giornata iniziale, di introduzione al grosso lavoro che c'è stato, li potete ammirare in bella mostra, tutti provati dal potente sforzo al quale sono stati sottoposti...

Che belle, vero, le mie punte da trapano da ferro, o, meglio ancora, quello che rimane di diverse di loro, ma di questo specifico argomento vi parlerò, spero, nella puntata di domani sera, salvo altri ulteriori imprevisti...
