In un pezzo precedente avevo parlato delle responsabilita' personali nei riguardi della collettivita' che hanno contribuito a portare Cuba ad essere messa come e' messa.
Questo nulla toglie alle gravi responsabilita' del governo attuale...e di quelli che lo hanno preceduto (mai dimenticare questo particolare prima di creare miti veri o presunti) nelle difficolta' in cui il paese si dibatte.

La mia domanda e' ; questo giustifica ogni cosa?
Voglio dire, i salari sono quelli che sono, i salari statali intendo perche' per quanto riguarda il lavoro per conto proprio le situazioni sono simili a quelle di ogni altra parte al mondo, se sei capace funzioni, se non lo sei chiudi e vai a casa, inteso sia per i proprietari ma anche per i dipendenti.
Quindi se il salario non e' sufficiente, se le pensioni sono quelle che sono allora ognuno e' libero, per mettere insieme pranzo e cena, a fare qualunque cosa?

Se come dice la gente "el salario (estatal) es una mierda" allora e' giusto che tutti vadano a rubare, che ti entrino in casa, che fottano gli scooter, che assaltino la gente?
Da noi (palla in tribuna) c'e' una marea di gente che non arriva a fine mese ma non ho visto gli assalti ai supermercati.
Uno potrebbe anche dire "ma tu al loro posto cosa faresti?".
Sicuramente non andrei a rubare e poi, negli anni precedenti, avrei fatto di tutto per non essere al loro posto, brigando e facendo il possibile per garantirmi un lavoro che mi consentisse di sopravvivere.
Oppure avrei tentato di andarmene.

Questa faccenda che tutto capiti a Cuba per colpa del governo e che chi commette abusi lo faccia perche' "la situacion...tu sabe" inizia a non trovare piu' giustificazioni accettabili.
Il cubano e' convinto di essere il solo al mondo ad affrontare difficolta', non sa o finge di non sapere che MILIARDI di persone al mondo ogni giorno si alzano senza sapere cosa potranno mettere nel piatto ma non scendono in strada col machete per risolvere i loro problemi.
Se negli ospedali le medicine arrivano (non sufficienti ma arrivano) e poi medici ed infermieri se le fottono per rivenderle su Revolico e' colpa del governo?
Il salario basso giustifica tutto questo?

Volete dirmi che se il salario fosse da sopravvivenza queste cose non succederebbero?
In ogni paese al mondo la gente ruba, ruba soprattutto chi o non avrebbe bisogno di farlo perche ha denaro o gente che non ha voglia di alzarsi ogni mattina per fare un lavoro normale, come tutti noi, e preferisce prendere scorciatoie.
Piantiamola di giustificare ogni schifezza che vediamo a Cuba.
Certo il vecchiarillo che chiede l'elemosina fa pena e non sarebbe dovuto succedere proprio in quel paese ma non e' mica il vecchiarillo che ti entra in appartamento o ti punta un coltello alla gola per derubarti.

E' gente giovane che, come in ogni parte del mondo, non ha voglia di lavorare e cerca di vivere fottendo il prossimo.
Sara' mica una cosa normale sull'isola vedere il lunedi' mattina alle 10 centinaia di persone di 20/30/40 anni sedute da qualche parte in citta' con una birra in mano.
Dove capita nel mondo, ditemi voi?
Se oggi a Cuba sei un albanil, un elettricista, uno che sa aggiustare le cose, un meccanico, un cuoco, un taxista o altri mestieri simili vivi piu' che bene perche' guadagni il giusto ed anche di piu'.

Ma quei mestieri occorre saperli fare, averli imparati da ragazzo, e magari c'e' da sporcarsi le mani come fa la gente al campo anche se la terra e' bassa.
Questa faccenda che la gente ruba (por la calle o sul luogo di lavoro) perche' ha necessita' "visto che lo Stato...il Governo..." e' la versione moderna del cubanissimo "Yo no tengo la culpa".
Sono cresciuto in una famiglia operaria dove tutti lavoravano in anni in cui il lavoro c'era e nessuno restava a casa con le mani in mano, non posso accettare che si trovino alibi per giustificare chi sceglie di non fare un cazzo dedicandosi a delinquere solo perche' "E' colpa del governo".

PERSONAL BEHAVIORS

In a previous piece I spoke about personal responsibilities towards the community that have contributed to Cuba being in the state it is in.
This does not take away from the serious responsibilities of the current government... and those who preceded it (never forget this detail before creating real or presumed myths) in the difficulties in which the country is struggling.

My question is; does this justify everything?
I mean, salaries are what they are, state salaries I mean because as far as self-employed work is concerned the situations are similar to those of any other part of the world, if you are capable you work, if you are not you close and go home, both for the owners and for the employees.
So if the salary is not enough, if the pensions are what they are then everyone is free, to put together lunch and dinner, to do whatever?

If as people say "the (state) salary is a piece of shit" then is it right that everyone goes and steals, that they break into your house, that they screw scooters, that they attack people?
Here (ball in the stands) there are tons of people who can't make it to the end of the month but I haven't seen any attacks on supermarkets.
One might also say "but what would you do in their place?".
I certainly wouldn't go and steal and then, in previous years, I would have done everything to not be in their place, scheming and doing everything possible to secure a job that would allow me to survive.
Or I would have tried to leave.

This business that everything happens in Cuba because of the government and that those who commit abuses do it because "la situacion...tu sabe" is starting to no longer find acceptable justifications.
The Cuban is convinced that he is the only one in the world to face difficulties, he does not know or pretends not to know that BILLIONS of people in the world get up every day without knowing what they will be able to put on their plate but do not take to the streets with machetes to solve their problems.
If the medicines arrive in the hospitals (not enough but they arrive) and then doctors and nurses steal them to resell them on Revolico is it the government's fault?
Does the low salary justify all this?

Do you want to tell me that if the salary were for survival these things would not happen?
In every country in the world people steal, especially those who either would not need to do so because they have money or people who do not want to get up every morning to do a normal job, like all of us, and prefer to take shortcuts.
Let's stop justifying every piece of crap we see in Cuba.
Of course the old man who begs is pathetic and it shouldn't have happened in that country, but it's not the old man who breaks into your apartment or holds a knife to your throat to rob you.

It's young people who, like in every part of the world, don't want to work and try to live by screwing over others.
It's not normal on the island to see hundreds of people in their 20s/30s/40s sitting somewhere in the city with a beer in their hand on Monday morning at 10.
Where in the world does this happen, tell me?
If today in Cuba you are an albanil, an electrician, someone who knows how to fix things, a mechanic, a cook, a taxi driver or other similar professions, you live more than well because you earn the right amount and even more.

But you have to know how to do those jobs, you have to learn them as a boy, and maybe you have to get your hands dirty like people do in the fields even if the land is low.
This business that people steal (by the street or at work) because they need it "since the State... the Government..." is the modern version of the very Cuban "Yo no tengo la culpa".
I grew up in a working-class family where everyone worked in years when there was work and no one stayed home with their hands in their pockets, I cannot accept that alibis are found to justify those who choose not to do anything by dedicating themselves to crime just because "It's the government's fault".
