Water crisis in the context of Bangladesh
Although Bangladesh is a riverine country, there is also a shortage of fresh water. Water use is increasing, especially in urban areas, but groundwater levels are falling. Excessive use of water in industries and agriculture is causing water wastage. On the other hand, increasing salinity, river erosion and flooding due to climate change are harming our water sources.

What we can do to conserve water
1. Stop unnecessary wastage of water by not running the tap while brushing teeth, washing dishes and washing the car with little water.
2. Rainwater harvesting Rainwater can be harvested and used for domestic purposes.
3. Tree planting and forest conservation Trees help in maintaining ground water level.
4. Keeping rivers and water bodies clean so that water is not polluted and biodiversity is preserved.
5. Increasing awareness of water use in industries Recycling water management should be introduced in factories.

World Water Day teaches us that water is not just a natural resource, it is the key to sustaining life.Water conservation is our responsibility so that we can leave clean water for future generations. So let all aware and responsible in using water and conserve it properly.
