Steem Retrogames First Game Experience

Today I played a game on Steem Retrogames for the first time. I got the chance play the game visiting the r-retrogames.com website on a mobile browser. Although I was a little hesitant at first after starting game I was immersed in a fun experience.

When I went to the website, I saw a list of many games — such as: Space Invasion, Steem Pong, and some other “Coming Soon” game options. I chose the Steem Pong game. There were some instructions and a ‘Free Play’ option at the beginning of the game, so there was no need to buy any tokens.

After the game started, I saw a ball and some items moving on the screen. There is a small white paddle at the bottom and a blue ball to control. The rules of the game are easy to understand – you have to manage the ball so that it does not fall down. And if different icons or symbols are in the way of the ball, you can get points by touching them. Sometimes I see some flags and the Steem logo. I slowly start getting points.

I scored 432 points while playing the game. However, when I ran out of life screen said Game Over. At the end of the game score was: Score: 432. Although this was my first game, I didnt think result was bad at all.

While playing game, I felt that it was a very simple yet addictive game. Controlling ball paddle may seem a little difficult first, but after a while, you get the hang it. Every time you can return the ball correctly you feel a kind joy. Again, there is a bit excitement when you touch each point symbol as if I am completing a mission.

The Steem Retrogames platform is not only a place to play, but it also seems to have a blockchain-based reward mechanism behind it. Seeing the ‘Buy a Token’ option, I understood that in the future, players can get more benefits by using tokens or participate in competitions. In addition to the joy of playing, there is also the possibility of a virtual reward.

Overall, the Steem Pong game was a great first experience for me. Such retro-style games are not very common these days. Its nostalgic on the one hand, but also gives everyone joy with its simple rules. I want play this game again in future and try make a better score.
