Thursday is Butterfly Day and Insect Day Giveaway- Week 42

Today I propose to give you some photographs of a Cigarrón and some details about him and an old children's anecdote.

¡Cigarrón, Cigarrón!

¡Cigarrón, Cigarrón! Shouted one of my cousins, while running desperate. Seeing her run to her, we also ran in terror.

The next day, another Cigarette appears and my cousin screams again desperately. On that occasion, one of my cousins tired of running scared like crazy out there, stops her and says:

-Anita, I'm not going to run after you every time I see one of those! Explain to me why you run when you see a Cigarrón!

Anita scared by the reaction of her cousin who, in addition, is bigger than her, Responds:

-Alexis, calm down, I just shout to play a joke! I am not to blame for you being fearful Ha ha ha ha!

Alexis got even more angry and started running all the way and we died of laughter, seeing her so scared running away from him.

Cigarrón: important data

This curious little friend is characterized by being larger than a common bee. These have like a hair covering your body. Depending on the species they can make their nests in remains of wood or on the ground.

In Venezuela they are known as Bumblebees or Cigarrón. These fulfill the vital function of going from flower to flower pollinating them. It is said that there are two species that are very similar: Xylocopa and Bombus. The first has no hair on the abdomen, while the Bombus is usually covered with hair everywhere.

Actually, I don't know which of the two species is that of my photographs, but here I show them:

      Ja,ja,ja a correr que viene un cigarrón. Yo les tengo un poco de miedo porque de niña siempre escuché que su picadura duele muchísimo.
