Why Do We Allow Private Companies To Own Electricity Production?
And why do we not own those power companies?
Don Lancaster had really good insight. In his book "The Incredible Secret Money Machine" he wrote that you should own enough of your electric company's stock so that the dividends paid by the company pays your electric bill. "Closing the loop" is what he called it.
We allow others to own our power company. To control our power company, and decide how it will serve us.
And if we looked deeply into it, we would find that T.H.E.Y. own controlling shares. We not only have let our very important supplier of electricity be owned but, also, controlled by people that want us controlled or dead.
Are we this stupid? Are T.H.E.Y. that smart?

Corporations are evil, but we think that is normal
We believe that a company run for profit is more efficient, but this is only true if it has competition.
We believe that a govern-cement bureaucracy is inefficient and wasteful with money, but paying people is one of the best uses of money, and most bureaus are understaffed. The waste is elsewhere. In the upper echelons where kickbacks and deals are made.
So, from these false beliefs, we just accepted that forming an electric company as an "independent" corporation was for the best. (we could have made it a public works, or even better, made it a co-op, but T.H.E.Y. didn't want that.)
Something that should be wholly owned by the people, serving the people, is instead against the people.

Placing profit, above all else, has put us in a bad place
So many places have brown outs and black outs. In our advanced society, this should never be the case. But it is. And the problem is systemic.
Going from 90% to 100% usually costs twice as much, sometimes more. You have to pay for a whole other power plant to provide that extra power that you only need for a few weeks a year. A whole power plant that sits idle for most of the year, and these big machines cannot sit still. Turning on and shutting off is often so hard, that it is better to leaving it idling the entire year. So a whole year of cost for something that is rarely making money.
So, the profit making path is to only provide 90%, and then pay for propaganda of how everyone should cut back on electric usage. Turn it back on the customers for wanting too much.
And there is an even worse problem in that old equipment is kept working for much longer than it should. It costs too much to replace it, and that seriously cuts into profits.
Right now we have a lot of electricity making and transmitting equipment that is on the edge. Some simple sabotage, or a bad storm could take it out. Take it all out. And there is no replacement for things that were built by hand, on site. There isn't even people with know how and experience to make them anew.

There isn't any more in the system to give.
Many people say "Why don't we just build more power plants?" And the reason is, it is not just a power plant, it is also a supply line also needs to be built all the way back to the coal mine, or oil refinery. There isn't enough train tracks to provide coal to a new power plant. And if there was, there isn't enough coal mining output to provide it.
So, we need to build another power plant AND get the coal mining operations to increase production AND an efficient transportation system needs to be built up to deliver the fuel. This is just not economically viable if the thing will only be producing electricity, thus producing money, for only a few weeks a year.
Because we look at these decisions on a for-profit basis, no one is willing to spend this amount of capital to cover that last 10%.
If we thought of this as essential to keep the power on. As, when the power goes out, people die. Some people are reliant on the AC for survival, not just feeling comfortable. Many medical equipments require electricity. So, if we were thinking of the people, many would pony up the money to upgrade our system to 100%
However, T.H.E.Y. also like to keep things at 90%, because then everyone feels that there isn't enough. They feel the lack. They continue to think that it is valuable, and needs to be paid for. All of these untruths are what those mother WEFers want you to continue to believe.

With power companies being "privatized" it allows the govern-cement politicians to point their finger at the electric company, and the electric company to point at costs. Allowing the perfect cover for them to keep you under their thumb. There is no one to hold responsible. And since you, the customer, are not an owner of the corp, and you have no way of going to a competitor, then all that is left is for you to shut up and take it. This was planned out.
Fortunately, this control mechanism collapses as we build continuous, non-polluting forms of electricity production. And then we own the production of our electricity.
The power companies will demand that they stay in power. How dare those people in our monopoly defined area make their own electricity. And they will try to legally stop anyone who, on a large scale, tries to get out from under their thum.
To win, we just have to outlast them. A company, even a power company, needs revenue to continue, to press court proceedings. And there won't be the political will to enforce the court's findings if they are actually granted. Basically everyone abandons that system.
Which leaves sabotage, and T.H.E.Y. will use it. However, the electric company is way more effected by sabotage. And, there are plans for them to sabotage their own stuff, to make everyone afraid. So, basically, they are going to shoot themselves in the foot.
