We are all beggars in front of the almighty!

The thought struck me while I was in Varanasi, sitting inside the Kashi Vishwanath temple. I turned to my elder brother and said, "Pick one person who isn't asking anything from God."

Those with position, power, and wealth often seek something when they stand before the divine. It seems that we all appear as beggars in front of the almighty, perpetually dissatisfied, yearning for what others possess.

When we overcome our desires, we can stand like kings before the divine. In that moment, our souls are liberated from all wants, allowing us to express gratitude for what we have. We begin to see that life is not just a rat race.

Many might wonder how we fulfil our dreams if we let go of desires. It's a valid question! First, we must distinguish between desires and dreams. Desires, when unfulfilled, never satisfy. The more we acquire, the greater our desires become. In hindsight, we regret losing the valuable things that truly matter.

Dreams, however, are born from a desire to grow, to develop, and to enhance the world around us. They fuel invention and progress!

I've never witnessed someone standing before God saying they are content with what they have. Though people may claim this to enhance their image, it is the relentless pursuit of desires that haunts those who don't know how to surrender to the almighty.

Instead of pointing fingers at others, devoted souls focus on self-improvement. Acknowledging the need for personal change ignites transformation within. As we work on ourselves, everything else falls into place.

Regardless of our physical posture before the divine, we must bow our souls to the supreme power.

While cooking khichdi today(will share recipe tomorrow), I snapped pictures to explain measurements, and the phrase came to mind: We need not justify ourselves to others if we know we are following the path illuminated by the divine.

In truth, we are nothing without the power bestowed upon us by the supreme. When that power fades, no one will seek to know how we are doing.

As we navigate the pursuit of power, let us take a moment to reflect on whether it truly grants us mental peace and happiness.

We must continually ask ourselves if we can rise above anger, jealousy, and selfishness, and if we can avoid the misuse of power. These vital questions deserve our attention in our nightly reflections.

My aim in sharing this message is to convey the inspiration I receive, without casting judgment on anyone. I recognise my own journey as a humble seeker, just one among many who aspire for Moksha from the divine.
