Grasshopper Green is a comical chap
He lives on the best of fare
Bright little trousers, jacket and cap
These are his summer wear.

Out in the meadows he loves to go
Playing away in the sun
It's hopperty, skipperty, high and low
Summer's the time for fun.

Grasshopper Green has a quaint little house
It's under the hedge so gay;
Grandmother spider, still as a mouse
Watches him over the way;
Gladly he's calling the children I know
Out in the beautiful sun
It's hopperty skipperty high and low
Summer's the time for fun.

Why I wrote this Poem

This poem is about a green grasshopper and it's season. It is normally found during summer time when it will go out and play around hopping and skipping. It covering is described as bright little trousers, jacket and cap as if it was a human. And as a sheep without a shepherd.
Innocently going out in the meadows playing away in the sun, describes how it can be vulnerable to attack while having fun.
It's love for summer is something that interest it the most, not knowing that there exist a danger!
Yes a danger of falling prey to a Groundmother or giant spider whose cobwebs is high up there where the grasshopper is having it's fun, is watching if the grasshopper can become a prey by entering it's net to become the next victim.
The innocent grasshopper, now called out it's children to join him in catching fun of the summer in the beautiful sun🌞.

Lesson

When we are relaxing or having fun, we can be so vulnerable to attack. So never let down your guard during fun time, instead be vigilant mostly in a suspicious environment.
