Some friendships are like Tom and Jerry

Some friendships in our society are like Tom and Jerry, aren't they? They may be constantly fighting with each other, arguing over small things; and even sometimes fighting. If someone nearby sees them, it will seem as if they are bitter enemies. No one will ever be able to get along with anyone.

But the interesting thing is that the bond of this friendship is actually strong. No matter how much they mess with each other, at the end of the day they can feel each other's absence very well. They understand how empty the life of the other feels without one of them. A strange understanding works in such friendships. They may point out each other's mistakes, correct their weaknesses; and laugh about small things. But when there is a real problem, one friend is the first to come forward to help the other.

These sweet quarrels between them are actually like a sour-sweet relationship. Just as food does not taste good without bitterness, these friendships may not last without small problems. If we look at Tom and Jerry, we think that their fights are actually a unique expression of love, they may not admit it to their faces. But their actions always create a pressure for each other.
