Hello, friends of Steemit and the Incredible India community all members! I've actually been thinking about running a contest myself for a long time, actually I love writing and reading poetry a lot. So I'm sharing my first week's contest with you guys to continue a contest about writing poetry.
I am very happy to announce our new contest – the first week of the Incredible India Poetry Contest has begun! 🥳
This contest is mainly for poetry, where your thoughts, feelings and imagination will come together to create some beautiful lines.
This week's topic: "Light and Darkness".
In your poem, you can write only about light, darkness, or a combination of both. How light comes into life, or when darkness takes a place in the mind – write it exactly as you see it.
🧾 Rules:
- Your post must be published in the Incredible India community.
This post must be upvoted and re-rated.
The post must be #steemexclusive.
No copied or AI-generated content is acceptable.
The link to the post must be shared in the comments on this announcement post.
A user can only submit one contest post.
Share your feelings in a short comment below the poem in at least 50-100 words—why you wrote this poem or what you felt.
You can also add a picture to the poem post—if you took it yourself or took it from a free image site, give credit.
The post must have at least 30 lines of poetry.
You must write some details about the poem.
The deadline for participating in the contest: June 26, 2025.
You must invite three of your friends

If you want, you can use the #burnsteem25 tag if you want to send 25% of the reward to @null to help the Steemit ecosystem.

আপনি আমাদের কমিউনিটির একজন মেম্বার হয়ে এই প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজিত করেছেন যা ইতিপূর্বে আমার চোখে পরে নাই ।এধরণের একটা উদ্যোগ আসলেই প্রশংসনীয়।
ব্যাক্তিগতভাবে আমি কখনও কবিতা লিখি নাই তাই এই প্রতিযোগিতায় আমি অংশ নিতে পারবো কিনা সেটা এখনো শিউর না।
তবে অন্যদের কবিতা পড়ার অপেক্ষায় রইলাম।

@mamun123456 I appreciate your initiative, but in the terms you cited, the poem should have 30 lines!!!!
That's something I find a bit weird, authors can share their views, and in that case, you might mention word count, which you did 50-100!
But when it's about poetry, we can't bound art in limits!
Many can share these two words in four lines and express them more in words!
That's completely my perspective 😉
You have informed me about a very nice thing, of course it is right and the things you said are logical. Since this is my first initiative, there may be some mistakes. Of course, keeping your words in mind, I will fix it next week, Insha Allah.
