Do you believe advanced technologies open the door to advanced crimes? Your viewpoint.

As far as I am concerned yes the new improved technologies invite new improved crimes. We evolve and so do the criminals as they use the same tool in more sinister ways. Digital platforms are on the increase leading to cybercrimes such as hacking, identity theft, and financial fraud. Artificial intelligence is a powerful tool that may be used in case of deepfakes, frauds, or abusive surveillance.

Even such a system as blockchain which is built on the security is currently being implemented in illicit trades. The greater we are linked and reliant to technology, the more weak spots we open up. Although technology advances are quite desirable, there are requirements of better laws, ethical values, and cybersecurity policies. Remaining safe has now meant that we have to be creative not only to ease our lives, but also to defend ourselves against the new wave of technology related crimes.

Do you believe we must need an antidote before launching any technology? Justify.

Now yes we need to have an antidote, well safeguards anyway, in order to introduce any new technology. The use of the technologies should be tested to avoid any harms as is the case of vaccines before they can be used to avoid harm to people. Lack of careful planning may result in abuse of powerful tools with the subsequent appearance of such outcomes as invasion of privacy, cybercrime, loss of job, and even manipulation of the social situation.

To take one instance, social media was not rolled out predicting that it would have an impact on mental health, or be a source of misinformation. Another example is on artificial intelligence wherein in absence of regulation, artificial intelligence may as well interrupt the ethical boundaries. An antidote implies the presence of the regulations, ethical frameworks, and emergency response systems prior to release. Technology must not be used to jeopardise, rather it must be used to serve humanity. Proactiveness would save the person, society, or even the integrity of innovation as a whole. Prevention is always better to cure.

Share some tips through which we can alert old family members
And society's view of cybercrime.

In order to warn elderly members of the family on the issue of cybercrime, your approach should be straightforward and pragmatic. Namely, they should be taught how not to follow the links they do not know or give information about themselves on the internet. Teach them the use of good passwords and two authentication factor options. You should teach them to confirm messages or calls that purport to be that of banks or relatives. Monitor their phones, tablets and computers periodically. Consider simple examples to describe such scams as phishing or phony lotteries.

Regarding the opinion of society, there is still a misperception that society still underestimates cybercrime, and it appears to be a problem only of those people who are savvy in technology. So people are becoming so conscious as the number of victims of digital fraud increases. And the societies should take cybercrime as seriously as they take traditional crime and drive the message of digital education among users of all ages, and particularly the old who become prime targets.

Cybercrime is a big problem that affect some people in our society. Infact it results into sickness especially for those who put their money in an online ponzi scheme which give them fake assurance that they would double their money for them. Some go extra mile by borrowing from friend and relative by the time he realize that it's not a legit platform depression would start to develop in their body system. Old people need to be educated against how dangerous it is and they should also reporting any cases of cybercrime to the appropriate authority so that action can be taken in prevent them against their fund.
